Yea Posey was getting the best of him throughout the game and he wanted to win that personal matchup. But I don't think that mentality will carry on tho.

That was just the shot that saved him from more intense criticism...but it doesn't excuse the poor game. Not in the least.

I guess he thought we have enough of a cushion to take that risk...

but like I said it was only one game and I don't think he'll be focusing on individual match ups from now on

guys once again i have to share my great wealth of knowledge... kobe looked "tired" or lacking energy the whole game, but I remember telling my girl during the hornets run, that kobe wasnt getting enough touches, I also said good things happen once Kobe gets a touch and only twice in that quarter(4th) was i wrong, if aNYONE HAS tIVO or a DVR check that out

i wouldn't think people are taking it personal...some people might be, but i think overall, some people just feel is a little quick to start criticizing. he has 6 good games (not to mention his whole career) and 1 bad one and suddenly he shouldn't have even been on the court

Ew. Yea we should get past it but we can't ignore it when it happens. I see arguments for Kobe being the best player all the time. Most of them have to do with "He's Kobe!" Slumps should not happen so often to the "best player in the world" (as many say) as to be seen as normal.

And don't say I'm hating or anything, I just tell it how I see it. Kobe sure as hell ain't MVP so far this year.

He took better shots...but he was off. That means he should STOP taking those shots. We don't NEED him to do that any more.

But that DET game was an anomaly. No way the entire team shoots that poorly again.
