So let's see...

I think we can pretty much conclude that these guys will for sure make the west squad:

Forwards: Tim Duncan
Guards: Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, TMac
Center: Yao Ming, Shaq

The second starting Forward spot is still up for grabs. Artest had nearly a 300000 vote jump from the first to second voting check, while Gasol only had around 150000. The Houston fans are clearly in support of their man Artest, and Lakers fans aren't going out and voting. Pau's chances of starting are slim to none, but I think he can be picked as a backup. Only chance that Drew has to get that spot is to play extremely well and get that 11th or 12th spot on the team, or if Yao or Shaq get injured. Bynum is definitely next on the west Center list behind Yao and Shaq IMO if I were a coach voting for those last spots.

It isn't about playing better, it's about the fans going out and voting for him. Get your countrymen to vote! It'll help.

I'm doing my best, but we need all the Laker fans to vote also! :)

Because Kobe still has tons of haters, while Dwight does not. Plus Dwight is miles and miles ahead of any other center in the East.

Because I don't vote based on race (Yi)

and Chris Bosh's offense may be good, but he doesn't play any defense

Artest ain't playing better than Pau this season...

Jamaal Magloire is a scrub, yet he was voted... Yeah, I know he averaged 13/10 that year (*cough* contract season *cough*), but compared to other all-stars those are scrub numbers...

Even Grant Hill was voted to start during the 2001 season, even though he is out for the season... Yao Ming over Shaq in his prime, please...

It's all about the votes...

What's up with Dwight being first overall ??

Kobe shares the votes with guys like Baron, Manu, Iverson, Kidd, T-mac, etc...

Dwight shares the votes with Rasheed, Okafor, and who? Eddie Curry? Bogut?? Kendrick Perkins???

You mean you vote on talent? People aren't voting him in just because of his race (well maybe china is, but that just shows how powerful they are).

My criteria is talent. But I'm not going to bash anybody who votes based on other factors. It's the all 'STAR' game.

Haha, Honestly, I don't have a criteria, I vote based on my favorites around the league.

it would be funny...if Yi makes it over KG... but why would you want the East to get killed? they already get killed with KG on there.
