Jackson described Trevor Ariza's innate ability to make plays off the ball in an interesting way on Monday, whether it's tipping passes in the lane, slipping between defenders for offensive rebounds or cutting to the basket for layups.

"He's like a ghost out there," Jackson said. "Like a shadow. Just all of a sudden he shows on a screen and he's gone. He's a blip and he's away. He runs the court like that. He's a stealth player more than you'd say (of) a person that infuses the team with energy. But his presence is certainly felt."

If Ariza played like that more in the finals, he coulda contained Pierce . but i guess Phil didn't trust him because of his injury.

Seriously, if Trevor keeps bringing something new to his game very year (as with the 3-point shooting this year), the sky is the limit for him.

He has all the tools to be a James Worthy-like (not as good, but you know what I mean) side-star. A kind of player that if he were anywhere else would be the prime time guy, but running here he gets to operate under the cover of bigger names.

Its old news but man, what fantastic trade Mitch pulled.

Sorry to get side tracked here, but NO team has a ring locked down for sure, NO TEAM! We are favourites, but we have nothing for sure.

As for Ariza, I agree with Fido completely, the sky is the limit.

i think ariza does has a ceiling, and i think his game is that of a guy that will suffer minor injuries throughout the season. i dont ever think he will be one of the game's best...but as I said b4 a micheal cooper or dennis rodman, type of impact player
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
