I will say he will probably be better than Wes Johnson.  He's probably the worst player on the team right now outside of Sacre.

I'd stick him below Sacre. Sacre at least plays some above-average defense when given minutes.

Lets hope a summer of working out with Kobe makes a noticeable difference in Wes's game.

Not that far fetched he could take it up a small notch.

Not his biggest fan here, but it does seem he could be a similar (though lesser) player to what Coop was back in the day...lock down, 3pt shooting, high flyer.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

Pau has always been terrible defender

Gasol is not bad at all on D, he was solid under Phil.  And w/ MDA, his team never had good D, so not all Pau's fault, plus last years team had more holes on D than a fishing net, so it looks bad on everyone playing in Lakers uniform.  Harden plus 80% of the top PG comes to mind when mentioning big contracts w/o D,

YOu tried to bring up COach like he is great mind & judge of talent when any coach would have success in EC with LEbron, Wade, Bosh, Allen, & refs ont heir side! He isnt an impressive coach. Read your earlier comments. BEasley media perception is why teams are not biting & his off court smoking. For dirt cheap he is better option then throw in to take up roster spot who brings nothing to table. ITs better to pay guys cheap with potential of high ceiling vs over paying guys who wont produce due to their limited skill level. YOur a Kobe troll we all know that. Gasoft doesnt even scratch 1 of the greatest LAkers ever. save that bullsheet.

What are you even talking about?  What does Beasley have to do with Lebron or the idea the refs were on their side?  Didn't the Heat get dismantle this past year? Where were the refs?

That post was about Beasley and his inability to stick in the NBA after MANY opportunities.  We all can agree that Beasley some offensive talent.  Nobody is questioning that.  What's been questioned and pretty proven BY HIM is that he's not a focused player, not as good as the "he still has potential" crowd thinks he is and after 6 seasons he hasn't done anything to warrant taking another chance him.

As I said before he's INSURANCE not a player that any team at this point is looking to save.  You have to be a troll to disrespect as a player.  He's one of the greatest players and Lakers of all time.  Was the 2nd best player on this team for years and him coming to LA brought hope they could win championships again.  So before talk about trolling, how about respecting the players that have won for this franchise. Gasol also was not terrible on defense when they were winning.  Im not even sure why Gasol is even being brought in the same topic as a scrub like Michael Beasley anyway.  Just shows you just want to argue and troll your life away.  Take a seat.

Wes Johnson is inconsistent, but underrated on this forum.

Can board, run, shoot, block shots, jump in passing lanes and finish on the break

I disagree and obviously so does the rest of the NBA.  He does none of those things well and usually spend half of his playing time just in the game.  He's on his 2nd vet minimum in 2 years at the age of 26. Nothing about that says underrated.

If you think GMs and front offices are just dense fans like you that watch ESPN to gain an idea of what Beasley is you're less intelligent than I originally thought.  You don't have to worry about me and you debating anymore.
