Nash will sit back 2 backs and every other games so Clarkson has a good shot at playing.

+I like the idea of starting

Nash,Lin,Kobe,Boozer and Davis

Just to start the game. That's a good passing line up, and also  you have three point shooting, but also 3 offense creators

Take out nash for Wes after 5 minutes

Then take out Kobe after 3 more minutes for Nick Young

Then take out Lin,Davis and Boozer for Randle, Clarkson, and Hill

End quarter

Start quarter with

nash,Nick,Xavier,Randle and Hill

Replace Nash and Xavier with Kobe and Lin

Replace the bigs

I dont like the idea of giving randle the starting role right away. I think everyone needs to work on it and earn it. Nothing should be given that easy. If its up to me, proven guys who can contribute to the team should start:

Nash "if healthy enough"
Kobe
Henry
Boozer
Hill

Lin "start if nash isnt healthy"
Young
Wes
Randle
Davis

Clarkson
Kelly

In no particular order but SwaggyP is our 6 th man.

No way you start Lin and Nash at the same time. First problem is that Nash will undoubtedly miss games next season (fatigue, or injury) and to have some games where he starts and others where he doesn't means we'll have a major inconsistencies from game to game. Second, I think we should try and play to our strengths as best we can. That means our front court can rebound and defend. Wes Randle and Hill will combine to be a front court thats athletic and can rebound. Third, We'll have Kobe in his natural position where he can work mismatches better. Our starting PG should be Lin (even though you're right about the 3pt%) because he'll play more often than Nash ultimately will and give us the most consistent starting lineup.

But if you don't start the kid then why didn't we trade away that pick? The number 7 overall pick needs to make an impact. I think we'll actually HURT his development by sitting him. It shows we have little to no confidence in him and doesn't demand his best play right away. Boozer played about 28 minutes a game last season. He'll be fine taking another cut and playing 20-25 minutes.

The line up would be:

Nash

Kobe

Johnson

Boozer

Hill

Lin

Herny

Young

Randle

Davis

If everyone was healthy.

Exactly.  This isn't the NFL where a top QB prospect needs to be coddled.  Let him take his bumps.

You sure?

I think GIVING someone a job, who doesn't earn it through the training camp or preseason process is not allowing that player to build as much character 9 on court)

Again

If Brandon Jennings would have played under Popovich and the Spurs backing up  Parker, he wouldn't have that double nickel under his belt, but would likely be a far better basketball player and leader than  he is now

Play randle man. You learn from day one: that's why you have backups to spell him when he's struggling. Even then. Play the dude. He may mess around and win Roy

That's cause Parker is a franchise cornerstone, other than Kobe there is no asset more valuable to the Lakers than Randle. Funny you mention parker too, he was a late first round pick and only four games into the season Pop had him starting. Add that to the fact that there's no star playing his position and I think the best course is to just throw him in the fire and let him develop, he's a lottery pick on presumably a non playoff team so might as well.

PG: Jeremy Lin  / Jordan Clarkson

SG: Xavier Henry / Nick Young / Jordan Clarkson

SF: Kobe Bryant / Wesley Johnson

PF: Julius Randle / Carlos Boozer / Ryan Kelly

C: Jordan Hill / Ed Davis/ Carlos Boozer / Robert Sacre

I think having kobe at the 3 will be easier for his health and compensate for any loss of speed.

Would also want Henry to be with the starters so he doesn't have such a load. Probably play 20 mins a game and then have young player 30+ off the bench.

Also not putting Nash on there because it would be pointless. Clarkson then would fill in at 1 and 2 when needed. I expect Lin to play heavy minutes this season though.
