I wasn't very excited when he got traded here but he won me over, right away!

Went through a lot of [expletive] these last few years but always stayed classy.

#16 will be in the rafters one day.

Top five big man in Laker history IMO. Only Wilt, Shaq, Mikan and Kareem were better, for a team that is known for great centers that is an amazing accomplishment.

Pau and Kobe really had a special connection, I know they are both going to miss each other.

Put your Big Boy Pants On!! I just hope the ground doesn't start moving in Chicago when the pressures on. If you think LA Fans voice their opinions, wait til you get a load of Chi-Town

Other than Divac you do realize there practically weren't any other starting centers in Laker history. If you take out the 60's You practically named them all. Then again; Bob Mcadoo was better when he came to LA but he was Kareems back up at that point in his career. Mikan 50's Wilt early 70's Kareem 80's Divac early 90's  Shaq late 90's early 2000's and then the Pau and Bynum thing

Mikan would not be that good if he played today.

The Laker organization should be very thankful --

No statue, but his jersey will be up there

At least we got 5 good years from Pau.

Nash hasnt given us 5 good weeks...and hes another guy i love for the way he plays/played

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (a special 20th season, like he deserves), 2. Draft Picks Ballin (they better. Seems half the team hasnt played in league) 3. Miracle Move (We still need 2 more impact guys), 4. Hibbert (change of scenery and attitude sorely needed) 5. Upshaw (If he works out, mitch and jim and ryan deserve major kudos as the risk is minimal). Staples (some renewed energy in that building, been a total morgue last couple years)

READY FOR SEASON!

Yet I still would say we have more HOF big men than any other franchise, I mean that's almost the Lakers calling card to building championship contenders.

Maybe but you are only judged for the era you played in and the competition you faced. Dude was straight dominant in his time with 7 seven total titles in 10 years played and five for the Lakers. In Lakers history he's responsible for 5, Magic and Kareem have 5, Shaq (3) and Kobe 5 with West and Wilt getting 1. First 3-peat and almost a third of the Lakers total titles, dude is a Laker GREAT

Pau is a very skilled Center. As far as the other Laker Greats, they were dominant and winners. They put up crazy numbers and won chips. I just struggle with mentioning Pau with Kareem, Wilt and Shaq. Just my opinion

I agree, I'm not saying he's on their level, all I said was that he is a top 5 big man in Lakee history

For all those that doubted Gasol, why dont you take a look at what he's doing in Chicago right now.

Like many of us mentioned, all Gasol needed was to be in a situation that had a couple of frontcourt defender in place in order to succeed and what do you know, alongside Noah and Gibson he's having a bounce-back / all-star caliber season putting up 18ppg, 11.2rpg, 2.7apg, 2.4bpg with a PER of 21.24.

So far i think Chicago is the best bet to come out of the East and Gasol is a major part of that.

But gasol was the root of every issue we had. Nope. He's a hall of famer, champion and hell of an offensive threat

A coach that knows how to use him on both ends and capable teammates that puts him in his spots and makes up for his deficiencies. Guy is the best big in the east
