In the Princeton, Lin may see a lot of catch and shoot opportunities or looks.

Here is some stats that may tell you Lin may do very well within it.

Last year

Lin posted a 60.8% effective field goal percentage on catch-and-shoot attempts in the regular season, hitting 40.5% of his catch-and-shoots from three-point range and 45% on corner 3 catch and shoot attempts.

Magic Johnson: "We haven't seen the kind of point guard Jeremy Lin is, in a while(in a Laker uniform)."
Also thinks Clarkson will become something special and Julius will blossom under Byron

Around 19:00 begins the conversation on The Lakers Scott Lin etc

Max & Marcellus 7/29/14

A few highlights:

Max

Lin with the ball in his hands is best.

And the questions is gonna be, will Kobe let him have the ball in his hands long enough to do his thing.

He has star potential with the ball in his hand,

I saw it for too many games in NY.

Knows how to run the PnR

Not afraid to take the big shot.

He can get to the paint.

He can hook up his teammates.

You want the ball in his hand.

He can do things without the ball but that is a mis-use of him.

Marcellus

Game is best when he is dictating tempo.

When he is dictating actions and emotions of his teammates.

He's working on his left hand, he's working on his floater, he's working on his D

just some excerpts, listen to podcast for more.

Ball in his hands he's special, off the ball he is still pretty good, off the ball and being marginalized like in Houston he is only an above average point guard.

Lin on floor while Kobe resting in bench is the best case scenario then lol.

KMC, watched every Houston game last year. I agree with you. Houston is PG hell with McHale as the coach. Look at the 2 PG's that left there and what they are doing....Gragic and Lowery right? They are doing ok. I expect Lin to have a pretty good year.

Lin is going to have a good year with the Lakers. If Kobe wants the ball, Lin will play off ball; when Kobe needs someone to take pressure off him, Lin can play make, shoot 3 or penetrate into the paint; when Kobe is resting, Lin can be the floor general. Lin's best ability is to create plays for his teammates, he will make Randall, Boozer, Hill and Davis shine like Tyson Chandler in NY and help Swaggy, Wes, X become stars like he helped Chandler Parsons.

Does anyone know who Novak is before Linsanity? He got a multi-million dollar contract after Linsanity, so is Landry Field. Tyson Chandler was beasting while playing with Lin, not so much after Lin left. Have any of you ever heard of Chandler Parsons before Jeremy went to Houston? He became a star after playing with Jeremy for 2 years and got a 46mil contract.

Kobe doesn't have a problem with point guards who can handle themselves.  He gave Sessions freedom too. It's if you can't that Kobe has an issue.

He'll have no problem letting Lin orchestrate if Lin plays well.
