Here's the game winner in case you guys missed it

Seriously as loud as that arena got that entire game was awesome in the 4th quarter.

Gotta remember this is also the rematch from last years Summer League game where we almost ended the streak then but Bazemore bailed them out, this year it was our turn!!! :D

Marshall learned a lot

i think the best we can hope for is the diversity of the guards make up for our lack of bigs

Also allocate all fund left to rebounders and paint protectors

I guess stretching Nash wouldnt be the worst thing, but I would want to avoid that if we can get some improvements from Sacre, kelly and Hill remain healthy

The Lakers will play Philadelphia in the summer league tournament Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. That means Julius Randle vs. Nerlens Noel.

agreed, i just dont see any real gain in stretching nash at this point. IMO, if it were to happen it has to be better for the long run instead of making the team slightly better now, unlikely.

Sadly, their best bet at acquiring assets may be in the draft not that they are likely to get very early picks via houston and witht their own needing to be top 5 to retain. Maybe they need to invest in some great private I's to stalk the hell out of san antonios scouts lol.

as for tonights game, anyone know if it will be on twc at 7:30? Im almost certain it will but its not on the guide, likely due to the uncertainty of the tournament schedule.

Abdul-Jabbar told the San Francisco Chronicle last month he met Howard only once and that Howard expressed an interest in learning from the former Lakers captain but he never again reached out to Abdul-Jabbar.

‘He’s charming, he’s charismatic, very nice young man,’ Abdul-Jabbar said. ‘Maturity-wise, he doesn’t get it.’

Lakers fans will be mad during this season...

Because it looks like Darrius Morris will be another Spurs reclamation project...

They can have darius morris all they want, they are the champs so their team can have one of our old projects.

If you put anybody in a systematic place, its always a good thing not unless theyre planning to use darius morris as one of their core pieces. Its harder to put a guy like lebron, kobe, melo, not unless youre gonna cater around their talent but if youre putting morris in as a sub or a back up then it shouldnt be a big deal.

I think Morris also dominated Summer League when he was with us. But the Spurs are gonna be giving him a lot of opportunities particularly with Patty Mills being out to start the season.

Anyway thus far in the Summer League Morris stats(coming off the bench) have been

12/2/1

6/5/5

He then earned the starting position

and put up

19/4/4 with one turnover and over 50% shooting.

Morris has always been a hard worker, lacked experience and was obviously going to get better.  the Spurs are the perfect place for him.

He'll have his hands full today with the Bucks so we'll see what he does then.   He dominated in Summer League for us two years ago as well.

The thing is with the Spurs and Mills injury he 'may' actually get some playing time, depends if he makes the team, and depends what Pop sees in him after the fact.  But Summer League he's going to do well, he did well for us too.
