Carlos Boozer’s time with Bulls all but over

A source said Wednesday that Boozer’s departure is a “done deal,” adding that Boozer’s camp already has been informed.

There haven’t been any takers on a sign-and-trade for Boozer, and the Bulls also want the money to go in a different direction, whether Carmelo Anthony is in the mix or not.

Under the amnesty provision, Boozer still will be paid the $16.8 million he’s due next season, but it won’t count against the salary cap.

Report: The Chicago Bulls have informed Carlos Boozer that he will be amnestied, making him a free agent

Has Carmelo said 'yes'?

Now, I would like Bozzer and randle both

Talk about a vet to really take Ranmdle under his wing. Perfect for practice

And I know you typically dont want to play two non defensive bigs together, but we tried Kaman and Pau

this way, you have money for Stephenson and a decent bench

Boozer was always going to be amnestied this summer.

Lakers will be involved. They were interested in acquiring him the last two seasons.

A fine replacement for Pau.

Bulls told Carlos Boozer it's a possibility he will be amnestied or used in a sign-&-trade but have made no final decisions, sources said

Hope LA doesn't pursue him too much... not a big fan. Plus he's rather old now and on the decline.

Chicago informed Carlos Boozer and his agent, Rob Pelinka, this morning that it would use amnesty clause today, source tells Yahoo.

Bulls say goodbye to Carlos Boozer. Have used amnesty provision. Teams will be able bid for him.

Boozer amnesty - was waiting for that - strong chance Lakers put in a bid on waivers - blind bidding

Plenty of teams with salary cap space, but two early favorites to make bids on Carlos Boozer: Charlotte and Atlanta.

Don't know why peoplw would make an amnesty bid o boozer with that contract. Just wait for him to be unrestricted and pick him up for 3 million.

We better pick him up after he's cleared waivers. Easily a steal for 3 mil per year

All Boozer would do is take away playing time from Randle and Kelly. I'd rather have them get the minutes and develop, we aren't making the playoffs this season so what good does Boozer do us?

Nine teams, by my count, have enough cap space to put in post-amnesty bids for Carlos Boozer: ATL, CHA, HOU, LAL, MIL, ORL, PHI, PHX & UTAH.

On notion of Lakers bidding on amnesty claim for Boozer? Sure - but not at the cost of stretching Nash - team needs more compelling reason
