I think we should be able to pry Jimmy Butler away from Chicago. Dont stretch Nash. See if we can get Wes and X one more vet min year. This time with Kobe, and Jeremy Lin and Randle

It'll be a different dynamic

We'll see

Lakers seem to look on the 2016 free agency, i doubt they wanna commit to Lance after signing Young for that long contract. Hope I'm wrong ..

I think they will structure contracts to have flexibility every year until they get a championship core. Laker ARE being smarter. BUT , the Lakers brand was built on a "family" premise. that's why ex-Lakers felt a certain type of way a couple years back

With Byron Scott likely the head coach, we'll see a little laker luck

The Lakers should still push to get Lance because he's a very young talented player that can play both sides of the ball. It makes perfect sense to go after another two guard given Kobe's probable limited minutes. Lance is the guy that the FO should have dealt on Before re Signing Hill.

Makes me think they either got a cold feeling from Lance's agent OR his antics turned them off and they believe he's worth what Pacers think

Lance is a risky player. He played good ball in a contract year but , LA turn them New York boys out

^ Best news ever.. I mean i wish Nash the best and still support his decision of not retiring but for the team's best interest shop Nash and add picks, only way not to get a salary in return ..

Jeremy Lamb killed it in the summer league 2 years ago, and he hasn't developed into anything great, and that is with a team that builds their team through the draft. My point is, you can't call Clarkson a steal until he's proven he can play well against real competition. You can say he was drafted lower than projected, but maybe that's for a reason.

This would be a good pickup.  The only way the Lakers are going to improve long term is by acquiring actual players.  Lin, Randle (assuming he can play), Young (on a small contract), Lance would be a solid core of role players that can play in the NBA and can surround a superstar to form a solid core.  You don't just put up multiple triple-doubles in the NBA without being able to play at the highest level, Lance can fill up a stat sheet like that.  I doubt they get him, but I would do everything possible to try.

The one silver lining in this pitiful off season is the fact that the Lakers have nothing to lose any everything to gain by taking risks. Fortune favors the bold.

Is that your own speculation or is that true?

I love how some people actually don't want Stephenson. He would instantly be our 2nd best player and best two way player off the bat. He is 23 and can ball.

We would be lucky if he chose to join us.

One wonders if this Stephenson deal is why the Lakers have delayed the signings of Hill and Young.  Because if they can get over the cap with either they can use the MLE to sign Young to his 4 year deal I believe.

Agreed, was wondering why they're stalling on the Hill/Young signings. might be planning something.  :o lol

I hope it's that they changed their mind on giving Young and Hill those ridiculous deals.
