He's so strong and quick. I love how he just barrels right into the defender and bounces them off with his elbow to create the space. The problem you have with many big men that enter the league is that they're just so robotic and easy to read. Randle is quick on his feet and has a really solid face-up game for a rookie. Sometimes it seems like he's going too fast, but that's to be expected from a player so young.

I'm excited to see him improve over the course of the season.

Byron Scott on Julius Randle: "I thought Julius played great. I really did. He's understanding what we need him to do."

Byron still thought Randle lost "focus" when he got tired, but said he's really improved over the preseason: "He's got a bright future."

Me to!!

Really excited. What luck to get this pick by the Lakers. Can someone pull Wiggins and Jabaris stats so we can compare?

Kobe being back is also really exciting.

Ed Davis is also going to be exciting to watch.

Andrew Wiggins 11.7 / 3.7 / 1.5  40% shooting 28 MPG
Jabari Parker 15 / 6 /. 1.2  41% shooting  31 MPG
Marcus Smart 8.3 / 2.6 / 4.6 / 2.3 steals 28% shooting 26 MPG

Julius Randle 8.75 / 5.74 / 1.1 43% shooting   20 MPG

Per36

Andrew Wiggins 15 / 4.7 / 1.9

Jabari Parker 17.4 / 6.9 / 1.3
Marcus Smart 11.9 / 3.6 / 6.3 / 3.1 steals

Julius Randle 15.7 / 10.3 / 2

So Per36(take it for what its worth)

Randle would be

1st in Field Goal%,

2nd in Scoring,

1st in Rebounds and

2nd in Assists.

Oh wow. He's doing all this despite being a 3rd or 4th option. Really happy for him.

I hope the injury bug leaves him alone.

Very happy with Randle so far. Just needs to work on being in control more than anything right now. Staying better disciplined and cutting down on those rookie moments/errors & mental mistakes, but of course those are inevitable. Looking forward to hopefully continuing to see him progress, mature, & grow as the real season approaches and begins.

yo.
