The best pick left in the draft after the first 6 were taken.

Last ROY we had was Baylor....damn.

Not surprising since this franchise has always competed for championships most of the time since then.

1949, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010

Kundla, Pollard, Mikkelsen, Martin, Lovellette, Mikan
Chick, Baylor, West, Wilt, Goodrich, Wilkes, Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Shaq, Kobe, Pau

What does this mean for Pau? Randle has to play the 4, Pau would be at the 5. If we can spend on Deng/Ariza and Gortat rather than Melo, we'd be pretty interesting defensively.

Hmm

Pau
Randle
Melo
Kobe
Lowry

Does that go anywhere?

Love the pick. He was my top preference at 7 (which was Randle, Smart, then Gordon).

I can't complain at all.

Thought he woulda been long gone along with Gordon forsure, I was sweating thinking we'd end up with Vonleh, who's good in his own right but he just didn't feel like a Laker.

People forget get this kid Randle led his Team to a NCAA Finals as a freshmen. Plus he was projected Top 3-5 , before the Embiid hype and foot injury.

We just stole this [expletive] bruh, real talk. I'm excited , Laker nation stand up.

To be completely honest I wasn't high on Randle but after seeing his attitude towards playing with us he seems like the right choice. I look forward to seeing him play!

Give him time, he'll have a 30 page memoir on why he's grown to like the pick and the future

Not because I'm biased, but my ROY is Randle, then Jabari.

Love the sound bites from Randle. He really sounds genuinely happy to be a laker

Can't wait to see Majesty be like: " ;) I always liked him. Didn't say he wasn't good. I was actually one of the few who thought this and that. ;) You folks misunderstood me about MCW and Smart ;) ".

Settle down there.

Not too far-fetched. All he needs to do is be able to do, is finish. Pau and Kobe will find him. He can also hit his free throws. Plenty of opportunities.

Can't remember the last rookie to put up numbers like that who wasn't projected to be a HOFer.

If I get technical, I could say that the only player to do a FULL 17/10/3 last season was Kevin Love. We can count Cousins and his 2.9 assists per game as well.
