When did taking a team to the playoffs make you a better player? If you would really take Thomas over Irving, I'm leaving the conversation before I pop a blood vessel. You want him over Lillard too?

He sometimes overrates players like when he said Steve Blake cancels out Parker lol

Individual PG defense is overrated. None of the elite guards can contain eachother, they'll get theirs no matter what. All that matters is that we have someone that can produce as effectively as whoever they're up against. Whether that be via playmaking, creating scoring opportunities, spot-up shooting etc. Isiah Thomas is a very capable PG, plays hard nightly and he can do a little bit of everything. I would love to see him on the team.

I think the issue is most teams with poor defensive guards have good anchors to make up for it, while the best LA get might end up being Pau.

That being said, it still benefits LA to go after Thomas regardless, because he's better than any of the other PGs they have a reasonable chance of getting.

WE DONT HAVE THE CAP SPACE, jesus christ.
(we have 31mil even if we trade Nash get nothin back)

Melo 15 mill
Randle max i believe is 2
Pau bird rights but 8 for him maybe give him a big year in the second year
Isiah 6-7 mill

With the bird rights i think we would be fine sign bunch of vet minimum deals also stretch nash get extra 6 mill we got the cap space

As much as i love isiah ramon sessions jameer nelson and vazques r cheaper then we go after rondo walker dragic and bunch ither great pg next year

But isiah wants to be a laker bad and if we had isiah kobe melo pau randle that would be one of the hardest teams to stop in the league maybe impossible to guard but we would have to score alot because that d would suckkkkk
Vet minimum okafor kenyon martin or jermaine oneal all options at center

Lakers need to sign some players if we dont get melo sign lance and munroe with a sessions or jameer nelson

One thing we need to do is make phoenix and houston over pay for their restricted guys

It's a shame people look at Thomas height and think that his stature equates to his game. State wise he was better then Irving last season. Honestly I rather take him over melo and grab a few other pieces so we can begin to build a winning team again. If you look at Thomas, randle and a third up and coming player (Greg Monroe) in 2 years after Kobe retires we might have the makings of a strong core. Rather then the flash in the pan max melo max Kobe entertaining to watch but end up back here in a few years roster.

Yes and no. Thomas' height is a real problem on the defensive end, but offensively he's pretty damn good.

I think Thomas at about 8M/yr is ok IF we can get a few defenders as well.

3 guys at 8 mill wouldnt be the worst thing if its say IT, lance, parsons

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (looks pretty good so far), 2. High Draft Pick (Randle...injured game #1.*sigh*) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of, Davis, nice upside!), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

I think the kings match any reasonable offer made to Thomas.

Why would you get lance and parsons where would kobe play

I know phoenix will match makes me very sad but god damn a lance bledsoe combo tht would be such a great combo kobe scoring randle getting his double doubles and jordan hill okafor ( i see alot of laker fans wanting okafor for cheap but hes injury prone bynum for vets minimum would be a steal) jermaine oneal

With lance bledsoe kobe randle we r top 5 team in the west

But melo is the difference maker he makes us a top team in the west
