No one in their right mind would take Thomas over Irving. He also had a better season than Lillard. He isn't a franchise player like Irving and Lillard. He's decent.

Thomas

Kobe

Melo

Randle

Gasol

Not bad probably a 4-8 seed in the west.

But that defense though...

Dude's a Laker fan. It's in his blood really. I'm sure everyone knows why he has that name. I would prefer Bledsoe, but I would definitely settle on Thomas. Would allow us to go after another solid starter if we get Melo, 2-3 players if we don't. Would like him to be 2-3 inches taller, but he's better than the old Derek Fishers, Steve Blakes, washed up Steve Nashes, and Kendall Marshalls of the world. probably the best PG we have had since GP, and that might be arguable since the Glove was so old in his one year in LA. May be the best since Van Exel. Kinda similar to Van Exel really.

People getting too hung up on this guy's size. For point guards its about fighting thru screens, redirecting, and quick recoveries to beat their guy to a spot. Far more important to have a solid defensive front line to funnel players toward.

Thats why its scary if they sign Thomas then bring back Gasol @ C. That's a bad combination. They'd be better off with Kaman/Hill back there than the swinging door, slow footed Gasol.

Why?   Irving hasn't taken his team to the playoffs either.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

If we nab IT2 without extravagantly overpaying, I'd be so happy. The dude balls hard.

When did taking a team to the playoffs make you a better player? If you would really take Thomas over Irving, I'm leaving the conversation before I pop a blood vessel. You want him over Lillard too?

Im not trying to say i dont agree with you but i think we have to look at it as a team not as an inividual.

Team defense/help defense is alot better than just taking one guy juan on juan.

It's a dumb conversation to have anyway, because we're not choosing between Irving and Thomas.

Thomas is basically the only choice we have right now at the PG position.

It's Thomas or tartar sauce.

we might be able to pay him 8. the Kings will match 6, even despite Collison. Thomas is their guy.
