One team that could be an intriguing option for Thomas is the Los Angeles Lakers. L.A. has just three players under contract for next season (Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Robert Sacre), and plenty of cap space to be active in free agency. It’s well-documented that Thomas grew up a diehard fan of the Lakers since his father is from Los Angeles, and he has idolized Bryant since he was a child. When asked what it would mean to sign an offer sheet with the Lakers, Thomas admits that it would be special.

“It would mean a lot,” Thomas said of receiving an offer sheet from the Lakers. “Not even just the Lakers, but just to have other teams trying to get you, it means you’re wanted. Like I’ve said in interviews before, I just want to be wanted. I want to be wanted for being 5’9 and I want to be wanted for being a scoring point guard. That’s all that I can say. If that’s the Lakers, I’d be happy. If that’s the Kings, then I’d be happy. I just want to be wanted and I want to win.”

Not a bad player at all but i wouldnt put all the burden on him by asking him to start. Good player coming off the bench with spark and floor manager. Good price? Sure why not?

I'm hoping for a free agent offer from the Lakers as well.

On a serious note, despite being the size of Tyrion Lannister, i think Isaiah Thomas is an interesting guard, whose stats on the surface makes him look like an all-star. I'm not sure what Thomas' market is right now. His stats would suggest 10M+, which seems insane, but if we could land him in the 5-6M range, i think i'd be ok.

My favorites as the next laker PGs are still - Exum, Smart, Lowry, Bledsoe - and perhaps i'd throw in MCW and Elfried Payton.

He's great offensively , but his defense would kinda hurt. If you can get him for a cheap deal he would be a good enough starting PG for now that can shift to our bench assuming we don't get another PG in the near future.

about 3 point guards in the league play defense. Don't worry about Isaiah =P

I think if we landed a defender in the draft - like Aaron Gordon - and missed out on the other available PGs then i'd consider adding Thomas. But only if we were able to get him cheap(ish) and if we could put another defender in the back-court with him.

He is not gonna attract more than $5m.

Expect some MLE offers from desperate teams (Miami)

He would be an excellent addition to the bench or even as a sixth man. Isaiah has a lot of heart and his stats despite his size show his hard work. I'd love him on the Lakers at the $5-8 million range.

20 ppg, 6apg, in only 34mpg. the last couple seasons, whenever SAC has doubted him and played another PG over him; his teammates voiced there support for him, and then he proved himself as the best guy for the job time and time again.

...he's their guy.

i think they match any offer at 7-8mil or below. thats the proper price for any sort of above average starting PG.

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

They could very well pick up a new PG in the draft or something.

I want him. Sacramento's biggest problem was that they kept him on a leash for so long. Once he started getting bigger minutes, they were a much better team out there. Love his game, would love to see him here. Hopefully we can get him with a reasonable deal.

As an off the bench instant offense guy

Yes. But we already got swaggy p...
Honestly wouldn't object to a 3-5 mil for one year deal thou...
Dudes not a starting pg. Marshall starting and dishing with IT off he bench as a scoring punch would be nice. With Bazemore being the defensive pg

Not opposed to it at all. He isn't getting a long term deal from anyone, and he isn't going to get a big salary either.

I think the most Nate Robinson ever got in a season was around 5 mil,

Why?

maybe he is

But he just seems like he would be better as a 6th man
Starting nba PGs can just abuse him on defense

Personally, i like my pg to be more of a passer, and have a scoring lighting fast pg off the bench

Would love if smart falls to the kings and makes IT surperflous

For instance
Nate Robinson, one of the 10 or so most exciting players in the nba to watch play, great scorer, huge highlights! But dude is a bench player

I feel like in today's nba, everyone disrespects the 6th man role
There is nothing wroung with being manu or kc jones!!!

I want him. Have for a whole now. Get him and fill out with 3-4-5 with FA and the pick and Pau and then fill out your bench with guys like Xavier, young, Meeks and those kinda guys.
