Celtics Could Trade Rondo, Green If They Fail To Acquire Love

Jun 20, 2014 12:15 AM EDT

If they are unable to acquire Kevin Love, Boston Celtics are reportedly planning a longer and more methodical rebuilding process that likely would see Rajon Rondo get traded.

The Celtics have a taker for Jeff Green if they decide to move him, according to a source.

The Celtics are not giving up in their discussions with the Minnesota Timberwolves but have thus far been rebuffed in talks. Boston has offered the Nos. 6 and 17 picks in this year’s draft, Kelly Olynyk and one of their own future No. 1 picks for Love, according to a source.

Love has reportedly told the Timberwolves' front office that he will opt out of his contract and leave next offseason if he is not traded beforehand.

Sounds like a team Kobe could work with

We could likely give up our #7th for Rondo , if C's go full tank for next

potentially Smart and Randle or Gordon and either and with the young guys they have already in place, they would put themselves in a position to be an okay team pretty soon, especially if cap space is allocated correctly

Never could happen for just whomever is seven

i'd take Jeff Green honestly, from what i remember *i don't watch much of the green boys* but Green has some great defense and can explode for a lot of points in a game... and we can draft a PG/SG and then sign love and sign lebron and be set.. i mean just love lol

I agree i think indiana should find a way to trade for rondo i just dont know what indiana would give up

And for the guy above ^^^^ come on bro lakers r not gonna get love unless the wolves r clueless if gs bulls boston or even new york land love in a trade he will not leave for the lakers

But i want to go after rondo like u said

one of an extended Stephenson/Turner and Hill + future picks

in all honesty what would we offer, the 7th for rondo just reeks of us looking for a quick fix that will make us mediocre at best .

Stephenson and turner r free agents i believe

Hill is a good start plus future picks now thinking boston wanted drummond from the pistons or wanted parsons asisk and lin i would think pacers would have to throw in hibbert or west

If boston would give us rondo for the 7th pick i would do it sooooooo quick

We definatley wouldnt be mediocre rondo is a beast i think hes fully healthy and he gives us the defense we have been missing.

7th pick plus kobe equals no playoffs

Rondo plus kobe plus a decent team around them equals playoffs

Im a big rondo fan

If pistons cant get him as much as i would hate it rondo on houston would be beast

Rondo is so over rated its amazing.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.
