Decided to make a separate thread for this. With the Clippers set to be sold, should they be rebranded so that the Clippers name goes out with Sterling?

In the article, it says the process is 22 months but an exception would be made for the Clippers.

If you think they should change the name, what are your ideas?

They should've been re-branded years ago.

At the very least change the logo to something that isn't simply an adjusted Lakers logo, it's pitiful.

Yeah I think so. Start fresh, new owner, new name, new look....they already have a new culture. It would make a lot of sense IMO.

First order of business should be getting them out of LA. I think a name change would be more appropriate if it was coupled along with a city move as well.

Doesn't matter to me, but like Fido said they should get a new logo or something

Since they aren't moving yes, also change the logo and maybe even the color scheme, too many teams with the same boring colors.

I would love for them to get out of this state period like Seatle or something but San Diego is fine.

Seattle Starbucks.

but im sure if they move to Seattle, it will be the Sonics again.  Balmer wanted to bring the Sonics back anyway.

Everyone wants them to move but you don't pay 2 billion dollars for the Clipper to change their city. Even Balmer said that was part of the reason he paid such a high price.....

It's obvious that there's more money to be made here than Seattle or San Diego.
