Melo told me he's "the most underrated superstar" in the league...

He's quite delusional but ok

Perhaps most unloved...not underrated.

I think BG is most underrated..or Westbrook

Not a lot of Superstars in league imo

Bron

KD

Kobe

Lots of Stars that are paid like superstars however

Next superstars imo

AD

BG

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

I think there's less than a handful of "superstars" in the league. I count 2. Lots of stars, but only 2 real superstars to me.

Depends on your definition.

That's about it honestly, the one guy you could probably argue is CP3 joining that list but there is deff nobody else in that class.

He's not underrated. There's aspects of his game that aren't as appreciated and he deserves more credit for but everyone has a general idea who he is.

I get in this discussion with a friend of mine. We're both in the same boat as you. There's 2 superstars and then there are a bunch of stars, IMO.

Lebron and KD are the only superstar elite players in the NBA.  The rest are a bunch of stars or in separate sections like Kobe, Dirk and Tim and now Wade who are novelties who at once fit that mold but due to age or health cannot hang with those 2 individually.

Tyson Chandler: Lakers not good enough to lure Carmelo Anthony http://dlvr.it/79F1pp

Knicks didn't have a strong enough roster to either.  But they had the most money.   There's a reason the Knicks suddenly decided they'd give Carmelo the max once they heard the Lakers were willing to.  They knew he was pretty much gone if they didn't.

So the Knicks offered more money and an extra year of security. So Carmelo went with that.

Although what Tyson said wasn't as aggressive as the headline wanted to make it seem.

The actual quote by Tyson:

"I thought if anywhere he was going it was to the Lakers" but they "didn’t have a strong enough roster to tempt him."

Glad Melo isn't here to keep this team in purgatory until he's 34 years old.  Team still wouldn't be good enough to make it deep into the West
