No need to worry Melo. You got JR Smith.

Melo's been slimming down since he got to New York.  It wasn't one off-season.    He even did commercials about his routine which integrated boxing.  He's actually been slimming down for a while now and there was nothing dramatic about it.

Wrong attempt to defend LeBron.

I didn't know Carmelo had a steroid accusation- worthy body, lol.

The notion that LeBron is or was on steroids is ridiculous, but c'mon now..

Slimming down since he got to New York? Well that is new to me. Would you mind posting an article proving this.

LeBron's been losing weight since he got to Miami too. That's why he did a commercials about his routine which integrated riding bikes.

Kevin Durant also did a "Do more" commercial which is similar to Carmelo's boxing except he did cycling. I guess he's trying to lose weight too and not just doing an advertisement.

Here's an article from back in 2012 when he'd lost 12 pounds in the off-season.

http://newyork.cbslo...e-knicks-notes/

As I said, Melo's been losing weight consistently for a while.

and here's Carmelo even talking about his weight loss over off-seasons from years ago as well.

ESQ: I heard you've lost like 12 pounds since the end of the season. What are you cutting out?

CA: Well, I did no carbs for two weeks. And just been working. You know, just training in the gym and on the track. Running.

ESQ: Is there an ultimate goal as far as the weight loss?

CA: I mean, I still have up until October, you know? So ain't no telling how much more weight I could lose.

ESQ: You've been working out a little bit with Jeremy Lin, too?

CA: I went out to L.A., I was working out. I didn't get a chance to work out with him, but I saw him, we went to dinner, we had some good times out there.

It isn't new for him.

With that same mentality are we saying LeBron just randomly turned huge in one year or did he come in as a man child and gradually put on muscle year by year?

Nope but LeBron sure lost all that weight in one off-season.   Carmelo's done it over years not a month and a half.

I think a lot of players use steroids. D-Rose was asked how big of a problem it is in the league and he said huge, 7/10. Lebron and Stern were asked if it was a problem and they both said no, nobody uses it. Why would Rose lie, what incentive does he have? Stern would say "no" of course because he has to protect the brand, and Lebron would say no because he's probably juiced himself.

Steroids are a problem in every other sport, why would basketball be exempt?

When I hear fans talk about steroids with athletes and who they think is on them it only solidifies how much people do not know about PEDs or steroids or whatever.  To this date the only players that have been caught from what I remember using PEDs in the NBA were Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu.

Contrary to belief all steroids or PEDs aren't some superdrug that turns you into Jay Cutler (the bodybuilder) or Ronnie Coleman.

The argument for most athletes to use any type of PED has mostly to do with recovery and pushing the limits in terms of training.  No PED any player can take is going to make him a super athlete if he isn't already one and it definitely won't make them any more skilled than what they are.  About the only sport you can make a claim where PEDs give you a competitive advantage is track and field and even that's debatable.

Lance Armstrong disagress, berry bonds disagrees, richard sherman disagrees. These things wouldn't be banned or frowned upon if it didn't give a competitive advantage. Also, A-rod.
