I at least live on the East Coast so it's 8am for me, a little more reasonable. I also sprained my ankle on Monday and have missed this entire week of work, so I "luckily" am free to watch this.

Kobe is hot to start off, Dwight is getting a lot of easy feeds. And all our guys are absolutely swarming on defense.
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

Kobe's too aggressive on defense though, not entirely a bad thing but he got 3 fouls to boot off the half with 3min left....but FANTASTIC DUNK from LBJ D-Wade to Kobe man...:rock:

Got kinda worried when Lithuania pulled within 9, then Kobe set the defensive standards....:rock:

Woke up at 5 to watch the game. A satisfying win for the Red, White, and Blue. That center for Lithuania was beastly in the first half. But we made the right adjustments and he became a non-factor in the second half. I'm loving Kobe's D although I agree it can be a bit too aggressive at times. And I have to say that Team USA 2008 is the best fastbreak team of any Olympic team I've seen. But I haven't seen the Dream Team so... yeah :D

The guy that says that is NBATV's Rick Kamla. He's not that good of an announcer, but he's pretty funny and gets emotional. Oh and during the broadcast, the other announcer, who is apparently a coach, was referring to Kobe and calling him "the best in the world" and Kamla butts in "I think it's LeBron, but that's just me."

How about the DWade windmill oop from CP3.

That was pretty damn sick. The nice windmill vs Canada. The dunk past all the Turkish defenders. And now this :rock:

I was going to mention how awful the broadcast team is... but then they mentioned that they were calling the game from the US. If ESPN couldn't afford to send those guys to China, they're allowed to suck.

It was funny. When D-Wade jumped up on the scorers table, one of them said something along the lines of "look at all of those lucky people courtside."

They were calling the game from US? I thought they were at the arena! I do remember Kamla saying D-Wade saying Hi to ESPN as D-Wade jump over the scorer's table...I dunno man....weird... :nervous:

Yeah! I'm pissed off that tennis took usa basketball's place. It's with Nadal and I guess it's more important.. It is on at midnight though, so maybe I'll just catch the first half.
