Again, it's hilarious to see how terrible our fan base is.

"Jim Buss doesn't take responsibity, his ego is too big and only cares what he thinks."

Jim Buss then makes public comments about him taking responsibility....

"Oh he doesn't mean it."

Some folk just can't be pleased, no matter how you slice it. He's damned if he does or don't.

Maybe to some he has to EARN the benefit of the doubt first through legitimate action and not just words.

I know I'm in the minority but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt after trading for Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash in the space of about a year. Ended up being about the worst possible case scenario but I still give him credit for working on those trades. Now he needs to show he can bring the team back to where it should be sooner than later.

Still backing Jim. Dealt a tough hand. Coaching search will be big. Cant blow this one like the last 2.

Most of the rest of the moves were/are on Mitch than Jim.

Theres a reason theres an award for EXECUTIVE of the year and not owner of the year.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

What does Jim stand to lose either way?? That's my question, If we win he wins. If we lose and he walks away. He wins because he's a Billionaire. Way to keep butts in seats and us in suspense

^ Not sure thats the point. What's best for Lakers is what he just acknowledged by saying that.

Here is hoping that this doesn't come to fruition....if he doesn't have to step down, it means that the Lakers didn't suck for four years (which would be nearly impossible).  Good for him to do an interview (of sorts) and give the screaming fanbase what he wants.  He went through the legit reporter too...so good for him.  Let's hope the Jim Buss who shot for CP3 is alive and well this offseason.

Just went and actually read the article. Way too much Phil Jackson content in there for me. But an important article and a nice job otherwise by Bresnahan

Honestly, I'll be ok with the Lakers just being in the right direction in rebuilding in 4 years. I'm not confident the Lakers will be even that.

This fanbase could definitely use a purging of the impatient and irrational

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again, Jim Buss isn't close to being as bad as everyone thinks he is.

We're in better position to get back on track over any other lottery team. We'll be fine.

I don't understand the Jim Buss hate. We've made moves to succeed. They just completely backfired. It's all bad luck. We will rebound.

What do us fans do if the Lakers are contenders?

I'd like for us to frame up a picture of Jim Buss in the household. Mao the dictator style.

I'd recommend Steve Nash as Jim Buss' replacement. Not Kobe.

To be fair, I think Jim is a good evaluator of talent. For another else, he sucks.
