Odd...he's not playing 2 games in a week...never saw that coming.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (looks pretty good so far), 2. High Draft Pick (Randle...injured game #1.*sigh*) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of, Davis, nice upside!), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

Though Nash's contributions have been limited, you've got to respect his work ethic that he still abides to. At least I do, anyways. I think it's too late to take the medical retirement option, guess we'll have to see what happens next year. Can hope for nothing but the best.

Serena's never heard this line before?  Like from Charles Barkley, every year for the last 5 years re:  Kobe Bryant.   smh

Got to realize that she's probably biased towards the Lakers

^ Nah, she's been critical more than a handful of times before if you've followed just some of her twitter comments, but at the same time, she does probably have to sorta keep that balance since she's granted so many interviews and access to the team.

Even the young players are getting hurt though.

I respect the work ethic but the writings been on the wall for so long, it's starting to fade. I don't think I can recall an athlete holding on way too long in this manner.

We knew this was going to happen. He should have never played that 10th game, he should have got paid anyway

Like me and many others have been saying Nash is done.

Pretty obvious.

Just in it for the money...

Nash develops back spasms just sitting on the bench. He is so done it is not even funny. I hope he has the good sense to retire at the end of this season. Another season of 10 games he will lose all respect.

The Lakers FO plan to bring him back. Maybe they plan to develop around him.

The guy is in danger of being remember for holding on too long when his body couldn't handle the game anymore as opposed to a 2 time MVP.

if that was the case he could sit back, get fat, and say he doesn't feel it and never have had to play any games past his 10th and would never have to play another game again.

If it's just the money then he doesn't have to put his body through all the things he's been putting it through nor would he have had to play the extra games this season he has as it only serves to further put his body at risk.

It's both. money and the love of the game and organization.   If he just wanted the money he could collect it without torturing his body pretty easily.

The just in it for the money reason is irrelevant.

Regardless if he medically retired or played in ten games, he was getting his money anyways.
