Good defense by Kaman on Aldridge there. I like how he embraces the physicality better than Pau.
he also beats Pau up and down the court pretty consistently, when Pau's at half court Kaman is under the basket. That may speak volumes.
This off-season it wouldn't surprise me if the Lakers decide they'd rather pay Kaman over Pau if it came to picking which one to keep. They both do essentially the same thing, both aren't MAJOR defenders but Kaman hustles more and embraces contact more. Pau is the more skilled of the two but what Kaman lacks in terms of talent he makes up for in grit and right now that's what the Lakers do need.
D'antoni pretty much insinuates this but if he talks about Pau again it's just gonna cause another firestorm and Kobe will just take more issue with him for talking about Pau.. but it's plain as day right now anyway, though I do expect Pau to bounce back and finish this game strong there are just some areas of grit and hustle Kaman will always have over him at this point in both of their careers. Then again Sacre has more grit and hustle than Gasol at this point in their careers so that may not say much.
