Taking into account we keep Pau - we have enough cap for one High Mid Level Free Agent Talent...Plus the pick -

Which two gives us the best chance to compete the next two years?

One Free Agent + One Rookie

Free Agents:

Luol Deng

Kyle Lowry

Lance Stephenson

Spencer Hawes

Marcin Gortat

Rookies:

Jabari Parker

Andrew Wiggins

Dante Exum

Joel Embiid

Julius Randle

Marcus Smart

My pick - Lowry & Wiggins - if we can resign Pau, but we'll also need a rim protector... (Emeka???)

No combination of players on that list would make us competitive enough in the west. We're in last place, adding a slightly above average point guard and a rookie ain't gonna do all that much. Just my opinion

The fact that we are able to add Kobe and one of these duos, suggest that next season wont be as bad as this one.

Personally, i think the pick determines who we go after, but there's a lot of combinations that would work.

My favorite would probably be Embiid and Bledsoe.

Melo + Embiid would be good on paper.

Marshall

Kobe

Melo

Hill

Embiid

and some role players back from this season. why not. we chased title with less.

Lakers do NOT NEED TO KEEP PAU PERIOD. there is no situation worth keeping him unless he comes back for dirt cheap pricetag.

None of the players u listed as free agents along with potential draft pick makes Lakers a contender!

But to appease you I would say Gortat & Parker

For me I would like LA to trade PAu & Hill to NY for Melo & trade Nash & Young to Raptors for DeRozan!

If we end up with a defensive 4, like Gordon or Vonleh, i could see us keeping Pau around at the right price - about 8-9 million.

Hill , Kobe and Embiid are high injury risk.

I rather Bosh instead of Melo. Draft Gordon. Sign Ariza.

Kendall-Farmar-Blake
Kobe-Bazemore-Nash
Ariza-Wes-X
Gordon-Kelly
Bosh-Sacre

All those other guys would have to be vet min
Bosh would have to be 4 years/55 million

It would be cool to trade Nash for Taj Gibson

Lol in what world would toronto trade DeRozen for Nash & Young or NY trade Melo for Pau & Hill.

If we could sign bosh and trade Pau for tyson Chandler - then we are talking. Phil system requires a big man to have a post game.

We need a rim protector
