almost all 2 guards in the league when given the chance have a small percentage of odds of putting up similar numbers at least once in their career.

Happy for him, but I wouldn't bank on him putting those numbers up on a regular. He just needs to stick to what he is doing.

THe only thing consistence about this team is their lack of defense. I don't remember the last time their opponents have less than 100 pt game.   And who cares if Meeks average 30 or more points. He is not a player that needs to be scoring that much. He is not a star in this league. He is a roll player. Bench player for most teams.  If he averages that much for your team, it means you have no stars on your team or your coach doesn't know how to coach.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

he has had this entire season to show that he could score more than 15 points on average... without having anyone playing alongside of him that dominates the ball (such as Kobe). there is no effing way that Meeks averages even 20 points consistently, especially when we have a team that actually has starters on it, and not replacement players.

Any scrub can score 40 points in today's NBA. Most of NBA teams don't play any defense, even a former Defender player (Green) scored +40 points last week...However, these role players can't average 30 on a daily basis, that's for sure.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Meeks is an inconsistent scorer, that is why he isn't a highly sought after commodity in the NBA.  Like MANY players, he can score a bunch in some games, and in others is a non factor.  Asking if a player like that can do anything consistently is ridiculous.  The only thing players like him do consistently is play inconsistently.  With that being said, he has definitely made some big improvements this season, but is still far away from being a consistent player.

Our season suck so bad that this is what it comes down to.  A journey man scrub get talked about like he is a future hall of famer.  Shows the sad state currently for the Lakers nation and their fans.   This thread cement  as the worst season in franchise history.

Meeks is a good role player based on his improvement this season.

Probably the worst statement I've read on this entire board

He's fast, not a terrific ball handler and can pull up and hit some 3's.

While a decent shooting guard, he might be able to start for some mid level teams next year.

I don't see him repeating a 42 point tear again.
