Seriously,

Jordan played amazing in the end of the game against Memphis and last night he [expletive]ed around had a 30 point career game with that 19 three points which are a franchise record now!!!!

Its more enough to say that Jordan should be our new starting point guard NOW!

I think the season is done ,we dont have anything to lose, so why let Marshall in all the time? he is just strugglegin with his shot and Farmar really bounced back off that injury..

He should be our starter for monday against the blazers..

MDA will change it. Don't worry. He changes lineups. That's the only thing he does.

Farmar is a bench player, 1 good game every 5. Marshall is a starter because he actually does something at an elite level which is pass. Role players need to be able to have a distinct skill that benefits and supports fellow starters

Something that's there every game no matter what the circumstance. Not to mention Marshall aids ball movement and team play especially with starting caliber players

Farmar wants to shoot, wants to ball dominate, he's not a starter.

Ill take an all around point guard who plays defense(farmar) over and "elite" passer who doesnt know how to slide his feet any day

lol you guys are strange .. We had Fisher, and you all said we need an offensive point guard to take the burden off of Kobe. We got one and now everyone is high on defensive point guards..

You also fail to see that both of them are point guards in our team. Should be a good argument for our rotation in that position rather than who should start over who..

All around PG? Lol

Yes he does, he is our best defender at the point.

and yes he might not be as good as all stars but he has an all around game, he hustles, can pass, shoot, dribble, play d, and he can get to the basket, thats an all around point in my book

Jordan Farmar more worried about helping team than starting http://bit.ly/1lrgttr

“I don’t care,” Farmar said. “I don’t care, man. It’s just trying to play good basketball when I’m in there, have fun with whoever is out there on the floor with me.”

In the meantime, have the Lakers found themselves in the equivalent of a quarterback controversy?

“A little quarterback controversy? We got a wins-loss controversy,” D’Antoni joked. “It doesn’t matter. That’s what he’s going to play. We can start him, we can not start him. It doesn’t matter. We’ll watch the game for three quarters. Whoever players better finishes the game.”

Farmar said he remains on a playing-time restriction under 30 minutes anyway, considering the sensitive nature to his hamstring injury.

Farmar failed when he was a starter for us because he's not the kind of point guard that can get anyone other than himself going on a consistent basis.

A sparkplug off the bench is where he belongs and where he can be maximized.    You don't put a guy with an "eats first" mentality as your starting point guard unless it's a guy like Westbrook and Farmar is nowhere close to either of those and is your basic scoring point guard sparkplug.

Don't think he should be a starter cause he had a good 90 seconds against Memphis while being horrid the rest of the game and killing our momentum with his ball stopping on several occasions.

And last night he had a great sparkplug kind of game, but nothing during the game that says he should be the starting point guard getting everyone else involved and getting them going.

The offense STOPS when Farmar is on the court, it only moves through him, and maybe one other player.  But if he doesn't get going, no one gets going.  That's why he should never be the starter, it's not his job nor is it the kind of point guard he's shown himself to be.  It all looks spectacular when his shot is falling, but when the shots are clanking and he continues to ball stop you remember almost instantly why you want him coming off the bench instead.
