Oh man. Tough shot for Baze. That's gotta' be a little traumatizing. That miss will be in his head for a long long time. This was too crucial a game.

That's the problem though. You can't be too proud of them cause they clearly didn't play hard the whole game like they did in Portland. That's bull[expletive], especially in your own home.

Lakers should just stop playing defense the rest of the season.

Just go for a scoring spree, more exciting.

Y'all don't see why I say the stats are inflated? Look at the scores of these games.

They have already started that.

I didn't watch the entire game, but it was also a back to back. Besides, despite the Pelicans losing streak, they should be the more talented team.

I like that the Lakers fought in the end, but it would have been nice if they fought to start the game, instead of falling behind by as much as 21.

To give up 132 points to a team that averages 98/game? Pelicans scored 67 points in the first half and 65 points in the second half on 60% shooting. No [expletive]s were given on the defensive end at all.

Oh well, back to the bottom of the barrel.

Not trying to attack you but both teams were on a back to back. End of a road trip for NOLA. no excuses.

Ughh. Pelicans were on a back-to-back as well. We just beat Porltand in Portland. We have bodies now. We're young. That [expletive] shouldn't be an excuse.

Would have been hard.

The Pelicans came out knowing THEY were on a back to back as well so they did everything in their power to try to run us out of the building cause they knew their legs would give out eventually and they did and they were counting on the cushion holding off our comeback and it did very fortunately.

If we'd come out trying to match their pace we'd never have had a chance late.

Pelicans gave a lot less emotionally against the Kings than we did vs the Blazers and we had the longer travel against the Blazers but knew we'd come on late so they attacked early and tried to run us.  Then when their legs gave out we came right back on them.  We couldn't match their pace early but it didn't stay as high either.

The Pelicans shot 60+ % for three straight quarters. Easy lay ups and foul calls. Not making up any excuses, but those three things helped. Small ball ain't always good. Cut the court in half sometimes.

We actually beat the Pelicans in points in the paint 60-54 amazingly and considering how ahead they were in that category after 2 that says a lot about how we came out that 2nd half with our 2nd wind.

We scored 125 and LOST.  You can always find a stat that suggests "we did better" at something.  Who cares?  We lost to one of the worst teams in the league, that was playing poorly, on our home court.  Period.

MDA started in with the "our defense has to improve" schtick after the game.  Better to stay quiet and people think you a fool than open your mouth and prove it.
