I feel he had a hand full of very good games. The other games he looked really bad. His game needs tons of work. So I basically see an athletic guy nothing more.
That can be said of most of our players. The only players that have been fairly consistent are Marshall (in terms of passing), Meeks (all around game), Young (scoring, not necessarily efficiently), and recently Pau.
The thing with MDA's system is if a player (specifically a guard/wing) is playing well, he'll get the bulk of the minutes that night. So if Xavier started 1/4 FG/FGA and Meeks or Wes started 4/5 FG/FGA, then the latter two will most likely receive the bulk of the minutes. That's part of the system: ride the hot hand. That doesn't mean Xavier couldn't have finished 6/7 the rest of the game. But players will receive inconsistent minutes, and they'll have to play well to earn them.
This is an experimental year. None of our players have established roles. MDA has given them the freedom to go out there and play. And whoever plays well the rest of the year are most likely who we'll resign.
