^ That's bull[expletive]! [expletive] the NCAA! There should be [expletive]in' protests & outrage. What did the douchebag racist fan get?
It's the difference between formal negative sanctions and informal negative sanctions. It is the responsibility of the NCAA to be impartial with their punishments regardless of the context of the situation. I saw this coming since day one:
As stated in another thread, you can't resort to physical altercation over a verbal disagreement. Let's see what formal negative sanctions are brought against Smart.
Even though the fan acted out, and I in no way support what the fan stated, the NCAA still has to remain an impartial judge. They do this by issuing formal negative sanctions.
In contrast, that fan is going to be experiencing informal negative sanctions for the rest of his life. Everybody knows his face. If I did something like that, I would honestly consider offing myself. I probably wouldn't do it, but just place yourself in his shoes after he said what he said. He will be receiving informal consequences for a very long time.
