NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders fully anticipate slapping the franchise tag on CB Nnamdi Asomugha again this offseason.
Those selfish Raiders. Asomugha, who's been targeted by offenses on only about 10 plays this year, will make roughly $11.7 million in 2009 if he's franchised again. The Raiders ought to shop him. Asomugha turns 28 before next season and Oakland needs all the draft slots it can get. They are down second-, third-, and fifth-round draft picks due to awful previous trades.
