Thought I  would put this in n00bie forum since I've been gone well over a year....

I was living deep in the Mojave Desert, with no access to Lakers games on their new channel. I caught the season opener in 2012 vs. the Mavs on TNT I think, and realized it was going to be a long year. Then we just fell apart. I left the desert for LA County December 2012, then left California altogether last July to teach chess full time. I am now living in a city of one of our rivals.....

Anyway, not too worried about the long term prospects for the Lakers, we always come back. I'll be back as soon as I can!

What's up Lakers_55! Always enjoy reading/watching (Yes, I remember your Youtube Video!) your spot on analysis proving why we are greater than the celtics. Where are you living now?

The future of the team? Can't say we can get Kobe enough help to get his 6th and 7th rings, but this is the Los Angeles Lakers. They will be back on top sooner than later. Maybe Stern will rig the lottery so we get top pick, he owes us that much after voiding CP3. Yes, I know he's not commish now, but he can still do his thing....

^ No response at all to your deeply devoted passion of chess? No love for Magnus? Nothing whatsoever?

You teach chess full time? That sounds pretty badass to me. Nice to see you Lakers_55!

Maybe, but sad he turned out to be a nutcase later on.

You don't think Magnus still even has potential to get even better if he takes it as seriously as he's capable of?

Magnus may improve, but Fischer's generation was full of all time greats. The crop of grandmasters from Kasparov's time on is much weaker in comparison. So, Magnus just can't get the experience needed to become GOAT.

Love having vet Lakers fans around. The knowledge about the past you can learn from them is always great information to have inside your brain.
