Let's say rondo comes back as the all star he really is. Boston has made it clear they won't trade him till draft day.

Rondo brings a top 5 player at his position to the lakers gives us a great season to build r team till we get love in 2015.

Say we get a top 3 pick in the draft none of those guys r rondo. We can make the trade work.

Also clevlAND might let a disgruntled kyrie go for a top three pick.

2015
Love rondo kobe

We can't trade our pick.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

We can't even do a draft night deal?

Even if we could trade it id rather take our chances with the draft.

With the new salary rules, we need to get a young, cheap player.   As bad as this season is, a lot of things are timing out well for us.

This draft is deep.  We have a chance to snag a nice piece, and not pay him very much for a few years.   We don't need to sacrifice that opportunity unless we net a superstar in return.

Lets say you dont get Wiggins orEmbiid or Parker

You trade Smart, Exum or whomever for a guy LIKE Rondo,or Cousins or someone like that and u sign Melo or wait for Love....How is that?

I'm in for trading for Rondo or Kyrie, then signing Melo. We'd still need a big man though.

LeBron James will NOT leave the Miami Heat.

I'd try to sign Eric Bledsoe or Kyle Lowry this summer, rather than trade away a top pick for Rondo coming of a serious injury.
