No one's going to believe him. This is the third time he's said this.

I'm sure it's getting boring to Phil always talking about that same 1 on 1 stuff, and what Kobe said to MJ when he saw him for the first time. In every damn interview they ask him that same damn questions. He can give sooooo much more about basketball intangibles and life in general.

"Influencing beyond coaching..." hmm... I would love to see Phil have a higher position in the Lakers organization.

Well he's a consultant now. So we shall see.  He's in the door at least.

Definitely. Phil has a lot to offer, perhaps in more ways than coaching.

Phil, whether he's coaching or being a consultant, can be very valuable to any franchise.

For the Lakers, anyone other than our current decision-makers as well as coach would be an upgrade.

I am sick and tired of Laker fans crying about Phil not coaching this team. I am sick and tired of laker fans wanting Phil to coach this team.  Enough already. I personally dont think Phil should coach again.  He already accomplished everything he wants to accomplished. He already beat Red in terms of championships. He already considered the best coach in all of sports. He have plenty of money to retire and buy more homes in Montana. He got a pretty good looking fiance if I might say so myself. He is living a dream. Why would he want to have stress when he is like an old ass man?  Enough with begging Phil to come back.  I wish him the best in whatever he do besides coaching. He should retired after he won the last championship. I felt bad that he had to sit through the Dallas massacre as his last game.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.
