Despite having the best overall record in the West at 32-9, the Spurs are only 1-8 against the NBA's elite including that 1 win against a Clippers team without CP3, which Coach Pop says shouldn't count. Do you guys think they'll ultimately be alright and this hardly means anything or do you think this should be a legitimate cause for concern for them?

“When it happens the first three times, four times, five times,” Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said, “then you say, ‘Okay, things happen. The schedule and…’ Now it’s eight (losses), so there has to be a tendency now.”

The eight losses Ginobili is referring to: The Spurs’ 1-8 record against the NBA’s elite teams; 1-7 against the Western Conference’s best.

The one victory (116-92) was against a Chris Paul-less Los Angeles Clippers team last month, which Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said doesn’t count.

Asked about their struggles against the good teams, Ginobili said: “I guess at the moment we’re not ready to beat them. They’re very talented; everybody is more athletic than us. To beat these types of teams, we’ve got to be even sharper, more precise, and at this point, we are not.”

They're the Patriots.

Go under the radar till mid season.

Then hyped to go far in the post season.

Comes up short when it means the most.

Coach still the most media worthy figure of the team.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

About to drop to 1-9 now if they drop this game at home against OKC.

Yet another loss once again for the Spurs against an elite team today in Miami. Now an absolutely disastrously pathetic 1-10 against elite teams under the great Greg Popovich. Is it a sign of what's to come for their playoff run this season?

Kobe is probably laughing.

Remember how Tim Duncan took that paycut to save the Spurs cap space?

Who exactly did they sign with that cap space that is helping them get over the hump right now...

Splitter?

Cause it looks like the same team to me.

He will, IF he even sees it though. Guy's been mostly MIA for a while now. He's failing his duties as the emperor of the hot girls thread as well.

Still made a Finals and came within a terrible effort from Manu and missed opportunities in a game 6 to win it all. They've been hit hard by injuries too, the issue for them is Pop's loyalty to Manu. They do am amazing job at finding diamonds in the rough. That is coaching at its finest.

Spurs are a joke. All they do is win regular season games, but when it comes to the big one, they fail.

^ That's been the story for their comparable team from another sport in the Patriots for quite some time now as well.

and Manu (surprise surprise) stunk it up today yet again against Miami. [expletive]in' joke. Have a great season for the most part just like last as well as playoffs for the most part, but can't showup against Miami.

1-7 FGs, 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 turnovers, in 25 [expletive]in' minutes!!! Seriously?

People have been doubting the Spurs for years, yet they keep on being good. I wouldn't be too concerned.

While I think Windu takes it to the max, Spurs have been boring in their steadiness.

We win close, or Dominate or get our asses kicked. Drama, baby

The Spurs are always under the radar which has helped them win championships. I said last year was their last run and I'm sticking to that
