Extremely strong 'big picture' post. Nice.

Listen up youngsters.

To the Jim Buss haters

Lets say he and his dad would have hired Shaw, and not Mike Brown....you realize Kobe would still be old as dirt, Pau is still soft as [expletive], and Howard never liked Kobe and those two would have never meshed.

I don't think in any universe, you can blame Jim Buss.

Phil is done and last season probably would have worsened his health.

If the team was too slow in 2011, you think the Bad back Dwight team, and Jamison and all those guys would have fared better against OKC and  all these speedy young teams that simply RAN us off the court the last few seasons?

After losing CP3, we "lost" Odoma nd Pau forever. Let's be real. They both never REALLY recovered.

meanwhile, it was a reason last year should hve been embraced more.

Kobe was doing some un heard of level play at his age/ minutes played in the NBA.

As far as MDA being to blame for Kobe's end of season breakdown....

Well, the years prior to thlast, Kobe broke down at the end of those seasons too.

If ANYTHING, Jim is doing a GREAt job. now we're in position to get a good draft pick in the best draft in a decade( allegedly)

And we have money for 2014 and 2016.

In my estimation, people want the GOOD but not the BAD

I mean, a 15 win season is what LED Miami to be in position to have a dynasty. And the same with Boston( though they only won one chip)

We won some titles, we tried to see if tweaks could be made, then we added superstars, now we see it's OVER. The Kobe-Pau thinkg is done.

Next year Pau WILL be gone, KObe will be in his victory lap, andsome young stud will be here learning how CRAZY Laker fans are.

Lets go back in history

1990s sucked for Laker fans, right? That was Jerry and Jerry

In 1996, we got Kobe and Shaq, but it still takes a couple years to figure it out----2000-2010 we get 5 titles

So , in 2016, Kobe comes off the books and we have whatever young stud we draft and maybe even a Kevin Love or Melo or somebody who can ball and we sign or trade for another guy and BAM, we'll be on our way

But if you have been a fan, since Magic's retirementt, I don't want to hear no bull[expletive] about

"Jim Buss ruining" ANYTHING

This is typical for the Lakers, it's just people want to LIVE IN DENIAL.

Jerry Buss was ALIVE during the 90s and during the " Kobe in his absolute prime, but playing with Smush and company" era.

I don't want to hear claims that don't take into consideration the full depth of the Lakers history

OR the CBA aimed specifically AT the Lakers, OR the failed CP3 trade.

otherwise, you're LYING

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (a special 20th season, like he deserves), 2. Draft Picks Ballin (they better. Seems half the team hasnt played in league) 3. Miracle Move (We still need 2 more impact guys, but Bass and Lou are solid moves), 4. Hibbert (trimming down, change of scenery and attitude sorely needed) 5. Upshaw (If he works out, mitch and jim and ryan deserve major kudos as the risk is minimal). Staples (some renewed energy in that building, been a total morgue last couple years)

The blame Jim is getting from us fans are mostly (*cough MDA) undeserved.

Stern (The NBA) owned the Team (New Orleans) and had the business right to accept or deny the trade, as a business decision for him and him alone.  He got a better deal from the Clippers.

Had New Orleans not been in receivership by the NBA, the deal could have gone through.

Yep, time to move on.

Roland is so far up Phil's ass. Nothing indicates Jim is anything like THAT jim. I guess the Nash deal but Nash ran into a guy and broke his leg, which HAPPEN to have a NERVE damage effect. I can't say that's SOLELY on Nash's age.

Anyway people will say what they will.

There's more then enough blame to go around,

Stern: Canceling the trade due to other owners moans.

Putting in the CBA which was made to skewer the Lakers effectively costing the league millions.

Jim: Hiring/Firing of mike brown (doesn't breed confidence in laker brand)

Hiring of MDA (did not fit the system)

Not hiring Phil (had to be said)

Kobes contract (great business decision, bad for lakers moving forward in FA, effects on league perception of lakers depends on the person)

Mike D'antoni: Not being able to adapt to personnel

Lakers injuries (Cant say matter o factly his fault but the uptempo play style can't be healthy for players, especially with the rash of injuries hitting the lakers can't be a coincidence.)

No, but we'd have Chris Paul and alongside Kobe would be a championship contending team and that's what David Stern robbed the Lakers of and also why Lakers fans will never forgive such despicable act
