They're gonna practice him hard and get him acclimated. Will move mahimi by the deadline and make a run at Lowry.

I like Mahimi.
I could see him here replacing Hill.

Former coach says Andrew Bynum "not a disruptive guy"

"He has talent through the roof," Ham said Tuesday. "It's unfortunate that he's gone through the issues that he's gone through with his body, but I'm happy. I was happy to see someone went in and went ahead, put themselves out there for his services. In the right environment, not saying anywhere else was a wrong environment, but when he's locked in, he's locked in."

"I really spent a lot of one-on-one time with him, been in group settings with him," Ham said. "He's really not a disruptive guy. He just wants to be left alone and left alone to play the game, plain and simple."

Ham also described Bynum as "an intelligent guy," who's into Formula One racing and creating radical workout regiments.

"He has these ideas about some new ways of training. Some stuff he threw at me," Ham said. "We had an opportunity to talk this summer and he just blew me away, man, just the level on which he thinks."

Nice to see.

he was actually looking like the Bynum of old a bit before Cleveland decided they didn't need him for not liking Kyrie not passing to his teammates.

Oh well I'm sure Indiana won't mind having this off the bench for Hibbert

As Indiana is focused on getting Bynum in shape I expect he'll do fine after working himself into a groove again.  Bird is a great person in that organization with a guy like Bynum and how to deal with it.   Doesn't sound like Bynum will have any issues there though.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Man, I hope he gets it together and stays with Indiana past this season. He's probably just on good behavior to get a pay day, even though I hope he changes his views a bit in Indiana.

LeBron James will NOT leave the Miami Heat.

Lol IKR...funny how the capes come out for Bynum within the Laker fan base.  He did about as much as Dwight did to help this team win.

Did some of you forget how Bynum trashed LA and the fans once he got to CLE?

They are too entrenched in Dwight hate to realize this.

Everyone has talked trash about the Lakers since Bynum left. Especially the fans.

Then why would he put Kyrie on blast for not passing to his teammates in an organization like Cleveland that protects Kyrie like no tomorrow and will silence anyone that talks against him.

Why would Bynum take that risk on a temporary contract if he was gonna be on good behavior till his pay day?   Bynum has no filter no matter what he's getting paid.

I don't think there will be any issues on the Pacers cause they are a class organization and there's no drama between the teammates and there won't be team issues.  They are much more a family than the Cavs.

You mean where he said the fans stand behind a guy?

let's be frank here Lakers fans a lot of them act like a 'love them and leave them' type.

Bynum had just given us an all-star year on one leg and yet all fans could do was talk about him and hold his one bad playoff game over his head while forgetting all others.

Dwight Howard shows up to a Dodgers game with a barely repaired back and the Los Angeles fans cheer him as if he's the greatest thing since sliced bread and act as if Bynum never existed and was instantly treated like a scrub when Dwight Howard was in sight.   As a player I level with exactly how he probably felt about that.

He went through two major knee surgeries, came back and played in a finals through immense pain against the Celtics, became a better player AFTER being challenged by Kobe and became an all-star on one leg as well.  But Dwight's in sight and you just throw him away as if he did nothing and was always a scrub.

Do you blame Bynum for feeling that way?

Not only that but look at what has been said about Pau not only by us here but by Lakers fans in general, not to mention what the fans said about Fisher BEFORE he was traded.

And then compound that with what they said about Dwight during his time here while he played through an injured back and came back early because of it.

I seriously don't blame Bynum for one second for taking that subtle shot at a few fans considering what he was in the middle of, it was well deserved.

Shaq said a lot worse when he went to Miami if you want to hold a grudge about something.

Same crap when he went to Philly, then when he went to Cleveland.

I still and completely baffled why far too many of you guys ride his jock like he's some incredible person / player.  Dude is a blight and a giant infant.  The day he left the Lakers was a bright, bright day.

Bynum is Bynum.

Put it like this.
Not everyone is as good a human as Fish. That's why Fish is SPECIAL.

NOT everyone is as dedicated as Kobe, that's why Kobe is special.

Drew is frustrated with his body. His injuries weren't "no contact" ones.

He wasnt a prospect , he was a project.

Started as a scrub, ended up an All Star.

Bynum isn't as bad of a guy as Artest WAS, Stephen Jax, Isiah Rider, Rodman.

He just isn't very athletic or limber, but he is a big body. And he does have touch.

And, we all love the Lakers, but in 09/10 he sacrificed his future going hard on one leg for the Lakers.

Hopefully he helps the Pacers win a ring... I'd love to see him shut everyone up.

That would give Bynum three.  I'd like him to have a significant role off the bench so people can't say he 'was a non factor'.

Would be nice to see Paul George and Roy Hibbert get their first ring and Bynum get his third and I love that Bird is keeping Bynum situated to get him in shape and work him out.

A guy who can have 30 point games, at his peak, but also have3++ blacks or perhaps 15+ boards in games

Bynum helped keep Kobe a Laker. I appreciate his time as a Laker. People act like he was getting arrested or even doing dumb [expletive] like Kwame used to do(cake incident)
