We have the same defensive coach Phil had, lol.

Don't have Kobe, Pau, Lamar or Bynum though.

Oh yea, we have Pau but he fell off in 2011 under Phil.

He fell off in the playoffs which also had to do with outside influences that affected him mentally*

He hasn't been the same player since but then again without Phil Jackson, he started to drift further and further away from the post.

Pau was declining in Jax's offense as well.

Denial is what I'm hearing.

We were .500 in Kobe's PRIME with Phil including losing streaks of 6 and 7 in the same year.

That was lack of overall talent.

This is the same without Kobe as the league is deeper and younger and probably the most competitors it has ever had.

No one could save this team and its injuries.

Blake was hurt under Phil. So was Farmar.
They aren't built like Fish or Bron.

If Phil is the only coach that can use Pau. That's an entirely different prob.

Pau actually fell off before that in 2011, but w/e

Again, the Lakers aren't tanking.

The Lakers are simply a less than talented team, riddled with injuries, running a terrible system with a below average coach.

Ouch. Perfect post imo. and tons of content!

Kupchak on N. Young: "He's been great. Whatever he decides to do w/his opt out, we'd certainly like to see him be a Laker for a long time."

I like this. Nick Young has definitely played his role since joining the Lakers.
