Mo Williams will opt out of his $2.7 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers for the 14-15 season.

Williams signed a two-year deal last offseason.

“I would like to be here long term,” Williams revealed to CSNNW.com. “My goal is to work something out with Portland this summer. I like it here and I want to make this place home.”

“Mo has been great,” Terry Stotts said. “He came in and understood his role. I think he has flourished in his role. I’ve said may times that I think he’s the best backup in the league, which is what we needed. He’s been able to help Damian on and off the court. We wouldn’t be where we are today without Mo.”

Mo needs to get out of his mind that he's still an all-star that's worth more. Be happy with what you're getting Mo.  You're a backup now. A  good one but a backup.  No one's taking you long term in your 30s.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Doubt Portland will keep him if he's demanding more money.

"Another one."
