He actually one of the better defenders on the perimeter in pick and roll sets.

One of the better defenders on a team currently ranked 21st in defense by Hollinger?  I don't disagree with your premise- I really like Meeks' game this year.  I dont view him as a good defender ... yet.  He has gone from lousy (last year) to almost average (this year).

Meeks or Young could fill a role on a contending team. Young I see similar to a JR Smith on Denver, you bring him off the bench, if he is on fire, great you let him score a bunch and make a few mistakes in the process, if not you just sit him. Meeks is a good energy guy and his shot is trust worthy enough that he could definitely be a good backup on many squads.

Except Young doesn't shoot 16% like JR Smith. :D

He also doesn't bring the locker room/ego/on court/off court  problems that JR Smith does and is actually willing to learn, listen and improve as a player.

With that being said, Smith has had a ton more success than Young.  Smith is pretty much less than worthless at this point, but he was a scary player to have on the opposing team during his glory days in Denver.

Meeks is too inconsistent to be considered a championship caliber role player.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Inconsistent?

I'd say it's the opposite. He may be streaky from game to game, but he's been doing almost exactly the same for his entire career.

I think he's a solid back-up sg on a championship team.

i really like jodie as a spot up shooter

although i dont like his decisions sometimes when he runs through the defenders for layups..mostly his baskets are nonsense under the basket, but some of them are luck and wise decisions so yeah mostly i like him loll

Jodie has improved since last year, but his three point shot is still inconsistent. On a championship team, he wouldn't be asked to run the pseudo-point and facilitate drive and kicks like he is now, so I'm not so sure.

Not under MDA

He's having his best season under MDA.  In his system at least.

Not sure we're gonna see another season like this replicated by Meeks personally.

His three has seemingly finally cooled off sadly.
