Especially with him being away from her on the road.

I get that this team plays hard on offense, but where is ANY of that energy on the defensive end? I don't think any of our guys compete consistently on the defensive end individually, and the team defense collectively is a sieve.

Lakers don't know what defense is man lol.

Can we stoop this oh "they are fighting hard" crap. They are offensively, but defensively,  hel no.

Management is tanking by keeping MDA and letting him hurt everyone.

Nice to know that these guys really want to win though, but can't because they're so depleted with injuries, especially with basically the core of the team out.

This is probably the saddest Laker season I've ever gone through in 20+ years. This team just can't catch a break and are cursed with all these injuries. Even with low expectations to start this season, can it get any more depressing? :(

A lot. If Kobe tries to come back and sustains another injury. This is what it is.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (a special 20th season, like he deserves), 2. Draft Picks Ballin (they better. Seems half the team hasnt played in league) 3. Miracle Move (We still need 2 more impact guys), 4. Hibbert (change of scenery and attitude sorely needed) 5. Upshaw (If he works out, mitch and jim and ryan deserve major kudos as the risk is minimal). Staples (some renewed energy in that building, been a total morgue last couple years)

READY FOR SEASON!

Devastating?

We are already at rock bottom.  It wouldn't be that much of an difference if Young was out, just means more of the same when it comes to losing.

I mean this sincerely, I think this Lakers team is the worst squad in the NBA currently, I don't even recognize the product on the floor and I have been a fan and have missed very very few Lakers games in the past 25 years.  I watch a ton of NBA games on cable, and I have not witnessed a team that is more lost offensively or defensively this season.  I will give them a pass because I didn't expect much from this season, and the injuries have been borderline impossible to believe over the past 2 seasons (1 consistency in those 2 seasons is MDA) but it is like watching a team that has no plan, and a single player in Pau Gasol that would start for most other NBA teams.  The rest of the guys they are running out there would either not make other teams or be strapped securely to the bench with the exception of Young if a team were to covet a guy who can be either instant offense or just make infinite mistakes on a nightly basis, similar to a JR Smith type.

Nash's and Kobe's injuries have little to do with this season

Blake is injured every season, he is injury prone

farmar, a speedy guard, has a hamstring injury...that's a typical injury

Young has some back issues in the dog days of January...That's not surprising

Xavier plays like a freight train, I'm also not shocked by his injury

This is exactly why I don't want Kobe to come back. Take the whole season off, just rest and let this season play out. Make some solid moves this off season and get ready for next season

For the last few years, Mitch mortgaged the future to win "now".  Except "now" is yesterday and that future is here.  You gotta recognize when a good run is over and start the reload process.

  1. Nick Young (sore back) is going to try and play tonight. He doesn't want to leave his already-shorthanded teammates out there.

#LakersHeart

Just asked Nick Young if he planned on playing: "More than likely." Sacre overheard and chimed in: "You better!"
