We dont need another PG. I dont know what the hell are you guys arguing for.

If you really want to spend this off season, get Monroe.

Farmar has never even come close to sniffing 15/8, so I'm curious as to how you "see him" doing just that.

30 + minutes/game. As a backup, no. Starter though...

I've just always liked his game. Perhaps i'm on crack?

Good, so you've now read and made a more informed knowledgeable post. I applaud that and apologies for my condescending previous reply.

Actually in his last 13 games where he wasn't injured he averaged 16.6 PPG, 7.5 assists on 51% shooting which is around his career averages. He was definitely starting to get back to where he used to be but then he got injured again which is the real problem here.

That said I don't think I'd touch D-Will though just because he is so god damn injury prone.

Like I was saying he isn't the same player him being injury prone proves my point

Idk. I mean, he can't really do much as a backup so I wouldn't have any faith in him as a starter.

He's just someone to have on the court during garbage time (with the Lakers lately, garbage time means trying to make the score look less deplorable) to try not to screw up the lead.

Yes. Here you go...

Wow Lakers fans can be ridiculous...

1) Williams is an all star caliber player when non injured. The notion that he would ever play backup PG here or should be compared to Farmar (really?) is ridiculous. He is definitely more than good enough to be starting on a championship caliber team.

2) Doesn't matter because LA isn't getting him. Not with his current contract, and even then they have nothing to offer the Nets. An expiring Pau is more valuable to us because the Nets have 0 intention of tanking, while we have lots of cap room to work off in the summer. The Nets only deal him if they can get better in return, and Williams is better than any player not named Kobe on this team.

Damn, dont really know why the Nets would even consider moving D-Will. And if they did, they could probably land both Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith.

For LA it would be too risky. He's too expensive, on a deal that's too long and he's injury prone. Worse, it would make any FA signing in 2014 and 2015 impossible.

The only way this would make sense, is if we were certain to be able to draft high enough to pair him with either Wiggins, Parker, Embiid or Randle.

Not worth the money. Rather have younger talent.

Used to be a big fan (would have taken him over CP3 a few years back), not so much anymore. Too many injury issues, attitude problems, and he just doesn't play nearly as smart as he used to. He was really really good in Utah's system and it maximized his abilities, but he's been trying to do far too much with the Nets in his time there and he's been mediocre as a result. Huge drop in efficiency and effectiveness on the floor, has worse shot selection compared to his Jazz days, and his contract is horrible.

I do not want a 30 year old Deron Williams with ankle issues locked in for the next 3 years. No way.

I'd take Smart, Exum and Levine over D-Will right now.
