Is Deron Williams a superstar right now?

Does it matter?

Pau Gasol is GONE

No thanks on D-Will. Prior to his injuries he was up there with CP3 as a premier PG. Now he could potentially help us just as much Nash.

GTFO be potentially as much as Nash LOL please. Deron Williams on one leg is better than Steve Nash.  Deron Williams when healthy has shown flashes of old self this year.  Seriously don't know what you guys want for Pau now especially if it ain't Deron Williams.  Truth is injuries are bad luck.  And if y'all don't want Deron Williams y'all crazy

If you wanna pay 20m to someone, why not pay it to an actual superstar?

Dwill is not a superstar, and I doubt he'll even become an all-star, but if he does that's because the East all-star guard selection is really, really weak

If he doesn't become an All-Star it's strictly because of injuries.

It won't make any difference if he doesn't play. The guy is in a walking boot too often for me.

CP3 is to D Will what Lebron is to Melo....I wouldn't take a gimpy D Will at 20M a year.

Really good assets don't get paid 20M a year.  They should be elite players.

Not a superstar but can still be a really good asset

When healthy deron Williams is elite. Every all star when healthy is elite. He can still be a piece for a championship team

Who would you rather have when they come back healthier. Williams or Nash?

You sure? He couldn't even lead his team past a replacements Bulls team with a healthy Brook and Joe.  Don't let his numbers fool you.

What purpose does this question serve?  Of course Williams but whose contract would you rather deal with IF said player never gets healthy or elite again is a better one.

Makes less than Pau Gasol and he's twice the player.

That's a valid point Jody. You're right. Nate killed them too can't forget that. But deron is still a good point guard

Deron Williams was one of my favorite point guards to watch and during his days with the Jazz and prior to his injuries I ranked him as the top point alongside CP3.  However, his health is clearly an ongoing issue and that horrendous contract (expires 16-17) only adds more fuel to the fire. Develop Kendall Marshell and other young pieces and seek other viable options in free agency would be a much better option.

Talking about Iso Joe Johnson? And a center in Brook Lopez who's never average double digits in the rebound category?
