Brooklyn Nets are currently getting asked on the availability of Deron Williams and the Lakers are one of those teams. (via ESPN)

I'd love Deron Williams but the fact that his ankle fails him every three games...

Brook Lopez and/or DWill are leaving, and we are great landing spots for either. Called this a while ago.

Trading for an already injured player - welcome to the desperation of the Jim Buss regime.

Deron Williams just had bad luck regarding injuries if Lakers can obtain caliber of a point guard like Deron Williams Lakers need to pull the trigger.  It's like what I keep saying in this forums everytime you guys bash on Pau and yet want him gone.  Yet when it comes down to trading Pau Gasol y'all want the world for him.  I mean [expletive] what is equal value for Pau now if he ain't worth a Deron Williams

I've heard this "bad luck with injuries" rhetoric way too many times before.

You don't trade for an already injured player, you don't do it.  Look at the player and who they are now, not who they were.  Getting caught up in names is the first fault a lot of teams get caught up in.

Do not want an overrated max contract player.

Rather have Melo than Dwill.

If having Melo will set the Lakers back for 2-3 years, Dwill will set the Lakers back for 3-4 years

Kobe's ridiculous contract is enough

If u can get D Will for any of our assets, that sounds like a good trade to me. Am I missing something?

Assuming we did trade for Williams, wouldn't that mean we cannot sign Melo or Love in the future unless they take major pay cuts?

No thanks on D-Will. Prior to his injuries he was up there with CP3 as a premier PG. Now he could potentially help us just as much Nash.

If you wanna pay 20m to someone, why not pay it to an actual superstar?

Dwill is not a superstar, and I doubt he'll even become an all-star, but if he does that's because the East all-star guard selection is really, really weak

Fine guys, deal for him, and when he gets injured again, don't act all surprised or bummed out.  When will he be healthy again?  Desperate times...

Is Deron Williams a superstar right now?

Kobe and Williams salary alone would take around 44m this offseason. How would we able to sign anyone else to decent contracts?
