Marty Blake once said that Kobe Bryant doesn't belong in the same gym as Peja Stojakovic.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Kobe's pain and swelling probably increased after watching tonight's game.

How much more motivation does this guy need?

This is starting to sound like something out of the Onion...

KOBE TO USE DORITOS TACO-LOCO AS MOTIVATION

^ Agreed. I love Kobe, but even to me, it's starting to feel a bit rather corny. I wish he'd tone it down a little at least in sharing all of this big talk publicly. I don't think he's gonna' be convincing too many even Laker fans right now until we actually see something that says & shows otherwise.

Brian Shaw said he called Kobe Bryant 2 days ago, and could sense his frustration w/not being able to control/push past these injuries.

In the past, Kobe would tolerate and push through the pain of severely sprained ankles or broken fingers. Can't w/Achilles, knee fracture.

Awaiting the 'Shaw will be fired and will replace D'antoni next year because of this conversation with Kobe' comments.

I don't think we will ever witness a dominant Kobe again.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Kobe hasn't had this kind of rest in his entire career. A lot of mileage on those legs, this will benefit him tremendously

If he comes in he will average a triple double easily (Points, assists, turnovers)
