Is Kobe gonna shoot a career low 30% this year?

Kobe's early training session works against him in Dallas

Bryant cited heavy legs for his 17-point performance on 6-of-22 shooting in the Lakers’ 140-106 loss on Friday to the Dallas Mavericks. But Scott revealed that he found out Bryant fit in an early afternoon shooting session before the game that lasted until he made 300 shots. Scott held out optimism the day off could restore his energy for when the Lakers (3-13) host the Denver Nuggets (5-7) on Sunday at Staples Center.

“Sometimes that can hurt you more than help you. That probably wore him out for the game,” Scott said.

Kobe got the day off from practice because of this development and by day off I mean Scott made him stay home in Orange County.

Lol Wiley brings up coach being paid by twc when he himself gets paid by ESPN to talk [expletive] about kobe. GTFO Wiley.

Nobody should listen to that clown.. Just because he talks basketball every now and then doesnt mean he knows basketball.. Clipper bandwagon all the way.. You never heard him say im a clipper fan 5yrs ago when that team was the biggest joke in the nba. Now all of a sudden he's a clipper fan making fun of the lakers..

I'm not going to lie Kobe is a different dude this year, I don't remember this many excuses made for him and we're not even a third into the season. It seems like things he could easily shake off earlier in his career is just too much for him this year

He played like what 20 games now this year?  Kobe is still figuring out what he can and can't do and its not an easy process. I mean he practiced friday afternoon and made 300 shots god knows how many attempts he took and thats coming off b2b. Doesnt seem he knows his limitations just yet.

Or not ready to admit them?

Dude only knows how to overdo it.

I'm cool with it though. He's given me more to marvel at than any other player.

And while i'd love for him to morph into a 10 assist guy that lifts this team to around .500, feel pretty lucky to have been along for the entire ride since he was a high flyin' airballin' teen chucker.

His world. We just live in it.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (looks pretty good so far), 2. High Draft Pick (Randle...injured game #1.*sigh*) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of, Davis, nice upside!), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

If Kobe was surrounded by guys that would make him a 10 assist guy he'd likely be a 10 assist guy.  Well, 6 or 7 at most.

Kobe could be so efficient if he didn't try to play 1v5 all the time

Kobe's skipping practices so he doesn't have to limit his minutes in the games
Does Byron is really coaching this team?

Byron forces Kobe to stay home from some practices and others he lowers his workload.

Such as today when Kobe basically was getting up shots.  Byron is trying to conserve his legs over the next 3 days.

It's because we are losing more, so he's getting more blame.
