Kobe should return once MDA is gone.

MDA might run him into the ground again.

I don't see that happening without multiple entire rosters in the western conference all passing away at the same time.  Even then, we would have to worry about Sacramento and Utah :)

Kobe says the re-evaluation if his L knee will be in February, not late January as previously believed possible

Dave McMenamin ‏@mcten40s

Kobe says he has no plans to sit out the rest of the season, the Lakers record is irrelevant to his health

So he won't play the date D'antoni expected, January 28th at home against the Pacers. He should come back on my birthday in February.

Kobe Bryant rejected Magic Johnson's suggestion that he should shut it down

Tough to guess how far below .500 the Lakers will be in a few weeks, but Kobe says he'll be back this season. "My job is to play."

He really should sit the dang season out.

I know he has a desire, drive and want to play like no other in the game, but its nonsense to come back this season.  Take the rest of this season and kick things into gear in mid to late summer, please Kobe.

Somebody needs to force him to sit out if need be. Doesn't matter if he gets pissed. You've gotta' let him know not to be selfish and do what's best for the [expletive]in' franchise.

RT @bill_oram: Kobe: “If I think that [I’m] going sit out or this that and the other, then the motivation is gone, and I refuse to let that happen.”

Goes along the lines of what I've said regarding Kobe. It's not about the team, it's about Kobe proving people wrong about his ability to play.

Not even Kobe can save this train wreck of a season, but he can give fans some hope moving forward.

If he's healthy and not at risk of injury, I want Kobe on the court. Let's face it, if he shut himself down, then that's the end of an era because Kobe wouldn't be Kobe anymore.

That sounds nice & all and very true (no surprise), but bottomline damn it, I just hope Kobe doesn't cost us the difference of a few spots (in the draft) that could really hurt us.

But..but... in 2K14 I can give Kobe a month off and he can still come on the court and score 40 at will!! =p

Yup, all the [expletive]in' time. I'm very surprised no reporter has even seemed to ask him about that. Really wanna' know the reason. Wouldn't be surprised if he just said something smart & simple like, "I like black".

I always assumed it was just in part because his 'Black Mamba' nickname and embracing it. Or he is just a non conformist.

Well this upcoming Sunday will mark a full month since he was declared out. The timetable is 6 weeks, and early Febuary sounds good. I just hope that these are the last of his injuries until his contract is over.
