Warriors and Kings Interested In Trading For Andre Miller

The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are interested in acquiring Andre Miller.

Miller has been suspended for two games for his confrontation with Brian Shaw in a game in which he did not play due to a coach's decision.

Miller has grown frustrated with Shaw and recently addressed some issues to him in a locker room meeting.

The Nuggets are determined to work out the issues with Miller.

The Warriors have been shopping for a backup point guard and have been engaged for weeks with the Toronto Raptors on Kyle Lowry.

Nope, let the Kings get him so they win a little more.

^ Well you're right. It is a win-win situation, but the reason I'm pulling for the Warriors as well is to help their prospects of potentially reaching the NBA Finals and taking down Miami, but yeah, your logic is a lot more realistic for sure.

Sources: Kings Offer Marcus Thornton or Jimmer Fredette for Andre Miller

RENO, Nev. -- The Kings continue to be the most aggressive potential suitor for the Nuggets' Andre Miller, offering three separate potential deals for the disgruntled point guard, league sources told CBSSports.com.

The Kings have offered Marcus Thornton and a future second-round pick as the framework of a deal for Miller, and have presented a package including Jimmer Fredette and a future second as an alternative, two people familiar with the scenarios said Wednesday. Those people familiar with the terms of those offers did not know the third scenario presented by Sacramento, but executives gathered here for the D-League Showcase surmised that it likely involves forward Jason Thompson.

Executives scouting the development league event suspect that the Kings are now showcasing Thornton, who has moved ahead of first-round pick Ben McLemore in Sacramento's starting lineup. The Kings would have to furnish another player in a potential deal involving Fredette to make the trade work under NBA rules.

The Nuggets suspended Miller two games after the 37-year-old point guard confronted coach Brian Shaw over his benching in a 114-102 loss to Philadelphia on Jan. 1. The team subsequently lifted the suspension but excused Miller from team activities. In the days since, Nuggets GM Tim Connelly has begun exploring trade options for Miller, who makes $5 million this season with a fully non-guaranteed $4.625 million due next season.
