lmfao i already said he's not a great 1st option. but the knicks are failing team just like last year and the 04-06 teams. look at the names in the roster and look at what they are doing. deep? lmfao....... i think youre still in last year... compare there stats and come talk to me. they are almost identical. names don't mean [expletive]. productivity is all that matters. and frankly, they are doing about the exact same thing as those [expletive]ty teams back then. like i said melo is in a team with a [expletive]ty gm a [expletive]ty coach and a [expletive]ty owner.

lmfao jody smokes was right. kobe is like god here to you guys

Of course their stats suck compared to last year, that's obvious since they're not winning. My point is that this team, even with injuries, is a lot better than what Kobe was stuck with in 04-06 and Kobe did a lot better with a lot worse.

Melo's constant ball-stopping, iso-happy, long-2-shooting, no-defense playing ways is one of the biggest reason why they're not winning and you can't just blame the gm, coach or owner.

And that "kobe is like god here to you guys" is bs. You put 05 Kobe (35ppg, all-nba 1st, all-defense 1st) on this year's Knicks and they'd be better than 10-21.

Make a run at Bosh or whatever his name is.

"You watch anime?"

Thats funny.  I am disrespectful because I think Melo isn't in the same league as Kobe?  The age and proclivity to be a whiner malcontent are the reasons I am against Melo for the max.  He isn't going to take less to come here.  IF he does, then maybe.  As far as Melo and Bron being the same age....so were McGrady and Kobe.  Kobe is more like Lebron than Melo is similar to either of them.  04-06 Lakers were absolute garbage.  The Knicks this year have better players...and a coach not named Frank Hamblen or Rudy T.

He would just become Pau 2.0 here.

Do not want Melo, as acquiring him will set the franchise back for another two years, if not longer — Kobe's contract has already set the franchise back for 2 years

I don't think so. I think he can still give you 12-15 points easy, and he is decent defensively.

Garbage? He's on a terrible team created by a terrible GM and owner lmfao...

Exactly.  That's why Melo would fit in well with the current Lakers format.

But seriously, the way basketball teams get better is two-fold, by scounting great players and working trades and by the draft.  The only "asset" if you call him that that we have is Pao.  Good luck finding someone to take him off our hands for anything but assuming the payroll.  We won't get anything decent in return, nor should we for that over-paid cry-baby.

Yes way. Miami Heat fans already talk a bunch of crap about Bosh. He would just become Pau Gasol here.

I'm sure Melo would take that as a compliment.

Only Lebron coming would make us contenders in the short term
