Time & time again it seems to be proven, we must undoubtedly rank at or around the top in worst teams at predicting and handling injuries & timelines.

He got space to develop, he can turn out to be something really interesting for the Lakers.

If he can stay healthy...

But then again, I suppose that goes for every player.

He's trying to destroy this team's future clearly.

He's had knee problems whe he was with Memphis. Couldn't get it right fast enough so they cut him. Hope he gets back healthy

It may be time to purge the training staff.

Been saying that for a while though.

At the very least spend more money and hire additional specialists. Its like insurance.

But wait till next year.

Having said that...Meeks with the time he's getting keeps impressing me. Yeah he's playing for a contract but he's clearly capable of more than just 3 point bombs

Management will have a tough decision if they have to decide between Meeks and Henry.

Meeks has remained relatively healthy in his NBA career. Comparatively, Meeks was the Laker that played the most games last season. He's currently on track to be the Laker that has played the most games this season (everyone else has either missed a game(s) or been listed as a DNP). Meeks has improved on his midrange shots as well as successfully finishing at the rim (50% 2-point field goals). He's also shooting a career high 41% from the 3. Although undersized, he's a capable defender that will hustle. He's been averaging 1.3 steals. Although, Meeks does tend to gamble on the defensive end which tends to collapse the defense at times.

Henry has been injury prone even before he signed with the Lakers. He only played 38 games in the 10-11 season with Memphis. The next two seasons, he averaged about 47 games with the Hornets, now Pelicans. He has totaled 31 games played this season. Henry has been extremely inconsistent this season, but that's understandable given he can still be considered a rookie and he's playing in a disorganized offense. Henry is athletic and a far better finisher at the rim. He has the ability to draw calls but unfortunately is a terrible free-throw shooter for his position as 62%. His 2-point field goals are at (45%) while he shoots 32% from the 3. Xavier can defend and is 6'6'' as opposed to Meeks' 6'4."

If Henry could stay healthy, I'd choose him given his athleticism, age (only 22 years old) and defensive upside. However, Meeks has shown promise in virtually all categories of his game and the ability to stay healthy.

I'd add that Meeks is 'probably' the more expensive of the 2 to keep so theres that.

I think Meeks may be the safer bet at this point.

And X's injury may push the lakers towards Meeks given the last 2 injury plagued years this team has had.

Dominoes should fall imo thusly during off season.

Pray for Kobe

Make a run at Lebron.

Trade for lesser name if possible if no LeBron.

Sign Nick if he opts out if possible

Sign Meeks

Sign Farmar (is he signed for 2?)

Sign Wes

Fill in roster again.

Wait for K. Love.

(X may be a casualty of injury bug)

Guys like kaman, hill, etc are more easily replaced than guys who we know can average 15 or so points w playing time. Hope for Kelly to add a little bulk w/o sacrificing shooting touch.

Lebron isn't coming here. And it's less likely Melo comes here, especially if D'antoni is still the head coach. Not that I want Melo, I'd only sign him if he took a large pay cut.

But having Kobe, Melo, and Love on the same team in the future spells for a defensive nightmare.

Xavier Henry will have his injured knee aspirated today & receive a cortisone shot. He's expected to be out approximately 4 weeks.

Lakers estimate Xavier Henry is out for another four weeks. He's getting fluid out of his right knee

Xavier Henry is having his R knee drained Wednesday and will receive a cortisone shot. He'll be out another 4 weeks, per the Lakers

Wow..

and once again the medical staff screws up big time! i dont understand how they can be so off when it comes to injuries lately. they are supposed to be a world class staff employeed by one of the wealthiest franchises in the league yet they cant predict a simple injury
