Sorry didn't see it, Maj! But I still claim he cannot play the bench 3, he is million times more effective as a stretch 4, and you know well he can't guard other 3s.

The reason Kelly can play the 3 is because of his passing ability that he has, even in the open court, his basketball IQ and his ability to stretch the floor.

In this "positionless" era of basketball is it really that hard to see

Marshall, Young and Kelly along the perimeter and Boozer and Ed Davis on the interior with our bench unit?

Kelly made a lot of things happen from the top of the key in the fast break and from a passing point of view last year.  His only problem really would be defending other 3s.  But keep in mind he'd be defending bench 3s and Ed Davis would be waiting at the rim.

A bench of

Marshall

Young
Kelly
Boozer
Davis

is overpowered against another teams bench imo.  Particularly with Marshall and Kelly's passing ability.  Which is why I have my fingers crossed no one picks up KM on waivers X_X

I don't know, I would rather have Kelly at the 4, but with Boozer in the team now, that will be for really short periods of time. I agree everything you said about him, but that D bothers me,especially because he is a solid defender at the 4 and highly intelligent team defender.

I wouldn't mind Aminu starting ( I know how bad that sounds but) to give our starting lineup some defense, and Xavier and Nick coming off the bench to add scoring. But then there isn't again any space left for Kelly because of Boozer. Eeeeh...

We got a few lefties now

Looking at Xavier...I dont love him as a starter because Li n and Kobe are ball handlers and Xavier likes to iso a bit

Did anyone ever look at Henry's stats for home games vs away games?

He shot 48.7% at home and 32.4% away. That needs to be fixed.

typical role player like percentages.. can be fixed

If we bring back Kendall we have 4 lefties. I think that is the most in the NBA,lol.

I thought he would have been one of our guys another team overpayed. Glad that's not the case.

We have a really deep team. If Melo chose to sign with us, that meant Pau would be back as well. With them and our depth, we would of been a contender IMO.

Damn the doubters!!  This ISH is really starting to shape up. If we stay away from a bunch of isolations we will easily win 40 plus games. Hopefully the referees will give us some respect

X is one of the only players last year who never appeared nervous. I think if he can physically do it he may be the most aggressive guy on both ends that we have.

Bozer has been taken with our by-annual exception of $ 3.2 mil. and that salary won't count agains the cap. We also have $ 5.3 mil. mid-level exception and several veteran exceptions for $ 1.3 mil. each.

Pincus also said that the Lakers haven't officially signed Wes either and that only 11 players are under contract

Glad, if he plays at more of a controlled pace he'd be closer to what Baze is but Baze will always be the better defender imo but X can still be an exhausting defender if he works at it strictly cause of his size and strength at his position.

Yep, I think X could be a real impact defensively if he put his mind to it. He's got the tools to be able to defend 3 positions, I think it's the mental aspect that he needs to really focus on. So many players just tune out on defense and wait to get back on offense. If he applies himself he can be a solid 3&D type player. I thought Wes could be that last season but his inconsistency was his downfall, maybe he'll turn it around next season, but I doubt it.

Interesting wrinkle - Xavier Henry was not re-signed to Lakers at minimum but for remaining room exception $1.082 million - 1yr deal
